Brendan Galloway

Any decision on this lad should have been made at the end of that window last night.

The shambles is made even worse knowing we cant have him back for 12 months. A lad that can play in any position across the back four.

Perhaps but I think we have enough backup really. Presumably Garbutt can be recalled and we have Oviedo and at a push, Funes Mori, who can play LB. Let's not forget Brendan isn't even a left back and has played what? 10 games there? 15?

As for CB, Williams, Jags and Funes Mori are all pushing to start which is a really healthy amount. And we have to factor Holgate in now, who looks really, really good and can cover RB and certainly slot into CB if we needed him to. Galloway would only be getting games if we had a serious injury crisis whereas now he's playing week in, week out, so I think the loan was a good move.

I think, given that RFM has had longer to integrate now and Holgate has stepped up, even with the loss of Stones, we look stronger at the back. Just not as strong as Koeman wanted us to be.

Garbutt cant come back in until January. If Baines gets an injury and then Oviedo goes down with one (not exactly inconceivable) we play a CB at LB.

We can recall him inside any transfer window so January is a possibility.

TBF Oviedio was a great little player till that double leg brake, Deffo slower now though understandable!

Martinez did sack the doctor who was helping him recover. He stayed and fighted for his place showing great attitude, yet was dropped after a good run of games.

I think he has been unlucky and just needs fitness high and he will push Baines.

Really? I think Galloway should be a CB He's tall and strong was found out towards the end at Lb.
Hmm, I didn't mean I see him as a LB in the end - more so, Oviedo isn't a top level player and the chance imo should've fell to Galloway - even if it's filling a void. Though inevitably him being on loan and playing every week will benefit him, just hope he comes back.
