Didn't see all the game but the bits I saw I thought Brendan did OK , he looks like he is getting his attacking instinct right , timing his runs and getting more penetration into the box. When he payed LB for us he often overran the ball getting into positions where nobody could pass to him or picked the wrong option when in the box, he looks more composed now. I would say Holgate on yesterday's performance looks the better full back at the moment , but when they've played together as CBs Galloway has looked the better. I'm hoping he continues to get games and progress at LB but at some time in the season Pullis has enough confidence to play him as left CB.

This ^^^^ really. Galloway will become our regular LB and he's getting some fantastic game time until he pushes Baines out. It's a win / win. Joey raises a good point about cover, but I'd rather see the lad get game time.......
Exactly Pete. Pullis is the man to reinforce his effectiveness. I think what was once a questionable move perhaps has been a master stroke. I am very excited about our youth development.

Daily Mail claiming that Galloway started a top flight match for the first time today. My memory isn't what it used to be but I'm sure he started a few last season for us?

A couple good points in here about game time, and I agree. Sometimes you have to pick your poison in getting a player game time versus having cover. Cover will be better for your first team this season, but getting that player gametime will be better for your first team in later seasons. Its a difficult line to walk, but you probably have to take it on a case to case basis.

Watched some of the game, Galloway looked good but then I fell asleep on the sofa cause it was that dull.
Happy with him going to WBA, will learn alot under Pulis. He'll learn how to defend set peices, defensive organisation and discipline. It's a great move for this stage of his career, and he's not quite there to displace Baines just yet.

Been having a sniff at one of the West Brom forums. General opinion is that Brendan will get roasted by Pulis for daring to cross the halfway line but they are moaning that there is no option to buy.
Still think he should be understudying Baines with Oviedo moved on but perhaps a full season (if he plays most games) will be ideal for us in the longer term
