These people writing these articles are greatly influenced by who they personally support. They're all either Mancs, Kopites or London club fans.

Look at the Echo and how often their Red correspondents leave to go on to the nationals and compare it to the Blue correspondents:

Tony Barrett - Times
Chris Bascombe - Murdoch media, now Telegraph.
Dom King - Daily Mail
James Pearce - current one, but from the South & will almost surely move on to the Nationals at some point.

Look at the EFC correspondents and where they are/ended up. They rarely if at all reach the Nationals:

Ken Rogers - Retired, wrote EFC books.
Dave Prentice - promoted within the Echo.
Scott McLeod - took an inhouse job with EFC.
Gregg OKeeffe - promoted within the Echo.
Phil Kirkbride - current one, Scouser.

The point is, the people with Red leanings end up in the National press, whilst the Blue journos don't and remain locally. Thus, national agendas regarding Everton are never challenged.

The only Blue journos in the Nationals I can think of are Paul Joyce at the Express (formerly of the Daily Post) and Andy Hunter of the Guardian (again formerly of the Daily Post). Neither of these two engage in the rumour spreadspreading.

Manchester United keeping tabs on Brendan Galloway as Everton face fight to keep hold of young defender

The 19-year-old has shone in Leighton Baines' absence at Goodison Park and with Luke Shaw out injured, United could make a move in January

Brendan Galloway's impressive form for Everton has been noticed by Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal and his staff have been alerted by Galloway’s emergence at Goodison Park, where he has established himself at left-back during Leighton Baines’ continuing injury problems.

Van Gaal is without Luke Shaw for the season and could make a move for Galloway in the January transfer window.

Galloway is just 19 and signed a five-year deal with Everton when he moved from MK Dons in the summer of 2014.

Three weeks’ ago, Martinez said Galloway would be given improved terms after his excellent start to the season.

But up-and-coming English talent is much in demand and Everton already face a fight to keep hold of Galloway.

No chance UTD would make a bid for him to cover Shaw. He has had about 7 good games. Not enough to make a big bid.

Unreal, Christ I hate the media.

it doesn't wind me up per se, i take it all with a pinch of slat because it's all lies. I just get annoyed that people get an actual well paid career for just writing lies. If you lie your way through job interviews etc. in any other role, you will get caught out somewhere along the line, yet their jobs just actievely encourage it.

It doesnt matter how many games hes played, if they have any scouts with any clue they SHOULD be making a bid.

The lad will become a superb player.

What like Franny jeffers.

Sorry, but MANY lads have played well at their club before a big money move and then disappear. You can scout all you want, at 19 it is still a massive gamble - too big a gamble to put in a huge bid. 7 games ffs, not 2 seasons.

You are incorrect and have my deepest sympathies if you can't see that he is a god
