I was just saying, the lad has played for England yooth, United will have had scouts there, as will most teams in the league, they possibly may have considered making a bid, but wondered if he could make the step up to the Prem, no doubt these same scouts would have seen him, in my humble Everton fan viewpoint, shine whilst playing out of position, any scout worth his salt should therefore suggest to his team that the lad is LIKELY to go on to become a talented player.
You say hes played 7 games, for us, yes, but the lad will have been watched by 000s of scouts over the years, dont forget hes been playing football since he was abar 7 mate.
TL;DR
He is a superbly talented player and I hope that nobody bids for him anytime soon.

I tend to just ignore all transfer rumours now. If it happens, it happens.
I just can't read brainless transfer rumours any more. They're basically just copied and pasted articles with just the player's and club's names changed. I feel stupider for reading them, and I'm not that clever anyway.

Fact is, the monied clubs rarely buy from the lower divisions nowadays. They prefer to spend 15-20 million on a premier league (or foreign) player than 0-4/5 million on a player from Barnesley or MK Dons.

Why? Nothing for us to worry about. I am glad we have players clubs want and am happy for them to waste time making bids, wont do them any good, because just like Stones we wont be selling them. Two summers on the run we have fended off unwanted approaches, from United and Chelsea, and that is just the ones we know about. Bid away as far as i am concerned, rather that than have a rubbish squad no one wants.
.....just checking the odds for this lad to make the Euros squad, can't see him in the betting. Indeed, Tony Hibbert's is 100-1.

The funny thing is you can see him picking up the paper and being like 'who is this I'm buying now?'. LVG likes buying fancy foreign players for trucks of money, preferably from Europe, how many young unknown British talents has he brought through this season...
