Hes now played 17 games for us...

If i remember correctly, Stones had a similar introduction at right back and was in/out of the team. Logically Galloway would have benefited more from having a settled number of games this season.

I wonder, how soon till he can compete with Mori for the centre back position next to Stones? Its going to be great watching them together...

Jagielka will be 34 by the start of next season so we really need Mori/Galloway there which would be amazing succession planning.

This "Fab Four" term should really be "Phenomenal Five". I liked the way Martinez came out and commented that hes now a first team player and deserves a new contract + also seeks to extend and improve contracts for his stars each season...

I have the feeling that Martinez may try him at centre back near the end of the season...he gave him 2 games end of last season ahead of Garbutt to see how he would do at left back..

Now i think he will want to take a look at him in the centre before the summer so he will know whether he's ready to move infield.

Regarding the two games for Galloway last season i think Ledson and perhaps one or two others may also be introduced to see how they step up before the summer.

.......I have to admit to being less nervous about Barkley. Not sure how long he's got to go on his contract but at this point he just doesn't seem the type to want away even if the big boys start calling. I might be very wrong, but the likes of Stones, Lukaku and even Galloway appear more cosmopolitan in seeing a big world out there.
