Hopefully will have the same impact Coleman's loan to Blackpool had. Good league for a defender to learn I think.

He'd be a more than capable squad player for us, but he won't feature as a first choice I don't think, so it's good for his development to get regular game time at Newcastle. If he can get 30-40 games for them he'll be ready to challenge for a first team spot next season.

Koeman wont play him as he wants experienced players so its a real lucky break for Galloway. Hope we can also loan out a few more to teams expecting to do well in their leagues

Experience mate; our defence was shambles last year and although the boy did good he ain't getting in that backline, he wants no nonsense centre backs. A year out will toughen him up, and as much as I hate to say it but FSW is quite a defensive minded manager so it may prove beneficial in the long run

Very good move for us and newcastle. He will get games that he needs and next season he can return and put baines unde real pressure for the left back spot.

Absolutely. He'll learn a lot in that league and under that manager. And at Newcastle he will be expected to play well and win most weeks. It seems like a perfect fit for him this season.

wouldn't surprise me if Newcastle get promoted and try an sign him permanently next year. Galloway might enjoy his time there and see the appeal of first team football in the premier league as a better option than still being a squad player for us.

I hope he gets games at Newcastle, comes back a better player and forces his way into the starting 11 next year but I think if Koeman brings a few players in, Holgate progresses, then it's going to be difficult.
