Bullard and Altidore

I am a realist, and I don't think Anichebe is good enough for our first eleven. That's not me living in fantasy land mate, that just my opinion, and I respect yours.

It's not gospel you know?

Who said he was good enough for our first eleven? Your going down a completely different route here. All I'm arguing is he's not as bad as people make out, he's certainly not the devil and he's good enough backup for a club that doesn't have alot of money, and can't afford to splash the cash on top quality players or squad fillers.

But you have to call as you see it mate - i find it hard to understand after Vic's last two performences people can say hes not got a future.

Similar to Mofro last year - i remember many on this and the sites yo mentioned compleatley rwriteing him of in the main - yet the potential was there massively for anyone to see.

Its like Billy this year hes already being written of but the potential to be one of the best midfeild goalsocrers in the league is staring everyone in the face - yet on the site you mentioned above i have seen people want to cut their losses.

Well there are some on here who are also claiming that we should sell Billy back to Russia.

It is a game of opinions, but the culture here is far more forgiving then others. Which is fine, but it's strange how so many different sub-cultures of one parent culture can be so divided all of the time.

My opinion on Anichebe has always been the same, bad attitude, cocky, not backed up with ability. If people on here are saying well he has that ability and he is improving, well then I will reserve judgement on him then.

I agree with you about Billy, I would sack of Cahill for him at a drop of a hat, but Cahill when fit is a fixed asset for Moyes, even when he is not on his game.

According to Sky they said Cahill was a threat. Didn't watch the game, but he didn't sound like much of a threat - probably pencilled in from a stock opinion from past games.

Well we spent 9m on a player and play Anichebe instead of him - so at the moment he isn't a backup.

Look in my previous post I have said I will give him some latitude and see what he does.

Moyes is extreamely loyal, i wouldnt have went with Cahill yesteday, but having said i can understand why Moyes did, its hard to break down Brum and Cahill sometimes can offer that unorthdox scoring threat - it didnt work but i could understand it.

I have always thought the biggest defficency in Vic game was his shooting and finishing - he offer us a lot physicaly and this is underatted - if we could get him to a level of development where he could score ten goals a season i would be happy. Hes gotten bigger and stroger over the past year, he looks like he has learned an awfull lot about the game and his awarness and tactical noues seems to have improved also. He looks like he is after deveoping a turn of pace and wow - what a ifinish yesterday - ill be honest his last two performences have really impressed me.

I think you get better analyse on here and we do tend to be optimistic and loyal. Take the Yak im sure you will see threads on other forums stating he should be sold, hes lazy, and his last two performences have been shocking. Yet he has a goal and assist in his last two games. I think this forum is less knee jerk but not as much as it used to be!

Billy is going to be tremendous, his timing is superb.

I would say that we get optimistic analysis here, I wouldn't say it's the best, because I don't know who posts on other forums. It is just about opinions, and as football fans we don't respect each other as much as maybe we should do. It's all your wrong and you don't know what your saying, etc.... We're all guilty of it.

But the whole Jo defence policy was just too much. I thought he was garbage and that was the opinion of most people I spoke to. It was the same with Kilbane.

We defend players performances too much, but like I said, I will give Vic a chance till end of season, and see where we are.

That's because he's obviously impressing Moyes, and players should be judged on there performances, not how much they cost and what there name is. He's in the team on merit, and his performance yesterday proved that.

Altidore is a terrible player. One good game then 5 bad. Bullard is finished as a top player. Far too injury prone and slow.
We need far better than those two if we are to challenge for things.

Do you think all players are in on merit? I know we need to trust the boss, but honestly do you think Moyes picks his team based on how he thinks they have performed in recent games?

I know he made a massive error against us, but the one player I would have off them is Myhill - on his day he is a superb keeper (in their game at Spurs he was astonishing), and would be a great backup / challenge to Howard.

Bullard? Hells NO. That guy can't hold a ball to save his life. lol I've only seen 1 game of his, but I came away very unimpressed.

Altidore? As a US supporter I think he could be so much better with midfielders who could give him the ball in better spots. I don't think he'd get much pitch time on this team and what he needs is pitch time.
