It’s more saddening that the message that’s been displayed at the club of recent is, it doesn’t matter how good you’ve played in the past, if we get injuries you’re still not getting in, but the bum players who have consistently let us down over the years can just waltz into the side as they please. It’s not good to see. Ancelotti needs to remember that these so called ‘experienced’ heads were the reason we were so crap last season and gave minimal effort.

Do we really think Delphs wheelchair will make it through the 90?!

So we will see Tommy d or doucoure shoved at rwb and iwobi moved to lwb at some point, as we don't even have Nkounkou on the bench?!

I just don't get it?

I'm not having that flash or Neils are worse trainers than friggin siggy or Delph - think Carlo just hates kids.

If nkounkou was starting abd Gordon was on the bench, would people be happy?

carlo clearly said yesterday that he needs to work harder.

he said he was only playing this formation because of our injuries to Coleman and Digne.

I hope for a comfortable win but key for me today is a clean sheet.

There's absolutely no logical argument why Gordon should be playing. Is he better than Richarlison or James?

Maybe Nkounkou should yes, but we have no idea how he would play and he struggled away at a similar opponent in Newcastle.

Id rather go for Nkounkou over Delph absolutely, but the squad is unacceptably weak. Why do we have zero depth after 5 years of spending obscene amounts of money?

.....not totally surprised at Holgate’s omission, perhaps Ancelotti thinks Mina can cope better with Burnley’s aerial threat. Regardless, Holgate does nothing for the tempo of play as he invariably goes backwards.

We really do need to be harder to breakdown, we are conceding goals and chances much too easily and it really is up to Ancelotti to remedy the situation.

If it is a 5 at the back and Iwobi / Delph get up high to allow James and Richarlison to get infield more then it should be okay, bit if they're not pushing forward could be in for a long lunchtime.

Because we keep knobheads like Marcel Brands around.

He said last week Holgate was struggling to get fully match fit so I'm not surprised he's on the bench.

100% this

I would be happier because at least with Nkounkou it’s his natural position and you know you’re gonna get total effort and determination with him. As opposed to a money grabbing bum who hasn’t performed at all since he joined us and likes to argue with our fans on his social media.

I think we're still paying (literally and figuratively) for all of those number 10s and terrible wingers we've signed over the past 4 years. Taking a 10m hit on Klaassen, still having 100k a week Sigurdsson on the books, buying 30m Iwobi, spending 50m and 150k a week on Bolasie and Walcott and getting absolutely nothing back in return. But even despite that, no excuse for the squad being in the state it is.
