The only actual info we have - ie from the horses mouth - is we offered more cash than whu to Leeds. There is no conclusive info that it was game time that swung it. I'm sure the club would like us to believe it was game time but it seems they are trying to distance themselves from the whole thing Entirely now which is pretty tough when the Leeds chairman says we were the highest bidders!Think it was more about gametime myself, which matches with the information we have to date, but each to their own.
Wow....just wow.So that's the end of our transfer window folks, unless Gibson and mcgeady follow Naismith out, so much for ending each window stronger
Disagree but that is something we'll never know. Overall as I say think we've done well with transfers with the odd exception of course.
Going back to Bryam, what specifically do you think the club/Martinez did wrong or should have done differently to get the deal over the line?
I do sometimes wonder how players view Everton. Yeah we've got history but why would a 22 year old care about how great we were before he was born?
Hopefully this was purely down to playing time and is not a sign of our dwindling status from Euro regulars to mid table nothings.
Oviedo doesn't though. Question is whether he can stay fit...
He's looking good for Sunday though by all accounts, while apparently Coleman and McCarthy also have a chance.
I see it that there are many factors drawing him to West Ham, as opposed to putting him off joining us.I do sometimes wonder how players view Everton. Yeah we've got history but why would a 22 year old care about how great we were before he was born?

At the risk of sounding like one of those Kopite biffs who populate the radio merseyside phone ins: we're Everton Football Club, and this lad runs up and down the line for a club like Leeds with partial success. We have better here already that can fill in for our RB starter while he recovers.
Dodged bullet for me.
Bang all the earmarked money and more on a second striker before the window closes.
