Can we finish in the top 4?

Haha, the top 3 will be the the Mancs and Chelsea, I'd say Spurs and Arsenal have stronger squads, debatable if the scum or Newcastle have the stronger squad.

I think there is a difference between a squad full of better individuals and a better squad. we fall into the latter vs spurs and r.s atm.

City lack width. Even if they get Sinclair to replace Johnson they're still lacking someone to get to the byeline. Teams should soon twig that defending narrowly is the way to shut them out.

United look a bit of a shambles defensively. Even when people come back from injury they still look shaky.

Arsenal have problems at the back too and seem to be short of a focal point for their attacks.

Spurs will miss Modric and are still too reliant on Bale. AVB seems to be performing at the Lane about as well as he did at the bridge.

If we can perform consistently at our best then there's no reason why we shouldn't get ourselves in the mix. We have very few weak links but an injury to Fellaini, Pienaar or Jelavic might blunt our attacking intent.

We're not consistent enough against the bottom half sides except that we consistently drop points against them.

So I'd say top six would be a good target.

If we can keep Darron Gibson fit we can win the bloody league.
If we ignore Utd, City and Chelsea (3 teams who we are more than a match for on our day) we are the most settled and balanced side of the teams chasing fourth.
Arsenal have sold their two best players from last season and look like they are in a transition.
Spurs are under a new manager who is all reputation at the minute and they are looking completely unsettled.
The ****e will be interesting to see how they do with a new manager and if results don't go their way the Kop will be on Rodgers back and calling for The Fat Waiter to return. (They have the deal with the Devil though so anything can happen)
Newcastle look the most solid but they may suffer from the deluded expectation of their fans and find it difficult to compete with last season.
We have a team now that is fully used to the system and style that Moyes wants us to play, we are stronger than last season and with the exception of Naismith and Mirallas and any other players we bring in our players are all settled, happy and most importantly confident plus we are looking like we have goals in us to add to a solid back line.
If you add in that of all those teams we don't have the exertion of playing mid-week european games things look like they may be in our favour and with a tiny bit of luck the least we should expect is 5th.

Told all my mates to put money on Everton to finish in the top 4 @ $17. Oh, how they all laughed. It's now paying less than half of that.

I still think 4th is the very highest we could potentially grab. Even if we were to play very well all season and not pick up to many injurys the likes of city utd and Chelsea would still pick up more points over the course of the season. With there squads and experience I think those 3 are untouchable.

Can we win the mini league of us arsenal Newcastle Liverpool spurs and if they keep key players I think fulham could be tagging on too??

I'd say arsenal and Liverpool are unknown but u know both are going to drop points. Newcastle and spurs will not be the teams they were last season IMO. Couple of squad additions keep up the good form have some luck on the injury front and 4th is not out of the question. A cup would be nice this year!
