Fitness has been a problem for a while. Our pre season games have been a joke

I agree but our pre season's have been a issue because we've been in contention for a European place. Meaning we'd have to design our pre season around Europa leauge qualifiers if we did get 7th.

I just think the actual day in and day out training hasn't been good enough. Then you have players like sigurdsson who just walk around on pre season.

Have you seen the clip when he says that? There's a noticeable hesitation when he says the squad is good, and later he reiterates that he will bring quality to it and is one of the reasons he is here. I'm very hopeful he is going to do exactly that.

The thing what excites me about Carlo is I genuinely believe if he was doing well here and a super club came in at this stage he’d be more than happy to stay here, that can’t be said for an unproven young manager who would flee at the first chance and leave us back at square one.

Dave whilst I agree with you RK but not on Brands, you have omitted BFS and brown shoes some of their buys were awful not to mention the Moyes legacy.

Try focussing your attention on the first part of the sentence mate i.e. the squad is good. Aah , but that doesn't fit with your agenda does it.
We are in the position that we are in because of a wholly incompetent manager and a horrendous run of injuries.
Even before adding to the squad Ancelotti will improve results markedly. This stands to common sense as Dunc (with absolutely no management experience) improved on what Silva was doing, despite having the worst of the injury crisis. But that also doesn't fit with your agenda either does it.
For good measure , your other main line, that Moshiri is a "carpetbagger" is also somewhat discredited isn't it , after bringing in Ancelotti and the ground plans on Monday.
Just enjoy the ride mate , there may be some blue sky ahead.
