Who will he bring on his coaching staff? His son? Well, that doesn't strike me as someone who has kept up to date with the most promising young coaches in Europe.

Evertonians want passion, they want it to matter. Koeman style half-arsed stuff boils my blood.

I hope he turns up and works every second of every day for success and delivers it, but I wouldn't touch a deal like this with a barge pole.

£40M is nothing compared to the money we’ve spunked on players over the last few years.

I agree that they almost certainly think of us as a small, no hoper club.

Which will make it sweeter when we smash everything and win the lot with our new Godfather.

Google is an extension of the USA deep state and none if it can be trusted. Besides which, this is a chat forum and I thought I would engage with it.
When I looked up Mr Grumpy it turns out you are a fictitious character in childrens books created by Frank Hargreaves, so you can’t support Everton znd you don’t exist.so much for Google.

Can we ALL please finally unite and get behind the new manager? Don't call for his head 6 months into it. I think it is time that we as a fanbase show some loyalty to a new manager and give him our full support. Regardless if you think it is or isn't the right choice at the moment.

We have recycled quite a few managers lately.... time to give one a long term chance.
 
This is all really perfect for us. Dunc is doing a great job (so far!) but admits he is not ready or the right man for EFC manager job and that we need someone with experience. We get one of the best managers in football ever as manager, and Dunc gets to study at CA uni for x years (or months, but lets not go there). We are getting someone we now know we can always trust and fall back on if main manager goes dicks down, knows the club and players very well. DF is going to only get better here. CA is not the type to start being a [Poor language removed] to him, he will see his passion, he will totally be on the same page as Dunc here. It's win-win. All the players will want to play for CA. More will be shipped out. And for once, all those players we wondered about like DLC, Holgate, Davies, we will see how good they really can be, and if they have what is needed to be mega players.

So good! We are very lucky here. Going places! It's still going to be tough though, the PL has grown in last couple of years, it's not just a top 5 and the rest are fighting for the spots, we have LFC and City as by far the best teams and some teams that have been around for years gnawing at their rectums.

I remember the 80s and probably the memories cloud my judgement. The media obviously don't harbour the same memories but there's still a lack of recognition for our achievements. They go on about Clough and Forest more than us.

This is a great post but, he has actually managed over 1,100 games :Blink:

You don't constantly win things by sticking by players you like but who underperform.

I'd say carlo is a master of picking the right players at the right times.. This would include dropping fan favourites etc etc if need be.
