It wasn’t there against city or Newcastle either. So easy to put it down to some sort of hoodoo but that performance was totally in keeping with every other game this season.

Said to the kopite in work today , I would have put Holgate in the middle today,
He said is your midfield that bad.
I said if those kids can run with a bit of pace are lot will not get near them.
He just tx me said I see what you mean ,not rubbing it in but they are just not good enough, they wouldn't even get in are reserves.

But, on reflection, if Delph is fit to make the bench - he has to start.
Simply the most experienced player we have in the squad. He's not necessarily the most capable but he's able to control a midfield and he's on point in a positional sense.
Would've gone Davies and Delph in the middle. Theo and Rico on the wings. Dom and Moise up top.
Not sure if that would've changed the outcome of the result, mind.
