It comes down to the squad of bottlers that we have here and yet again they do it over and over. Leicester, Liverpool, Newcastle in the last month.

Squad needs a shake up. Get rid of the players still here from the Moyes era for a start.

Walcott is proving knackered blowing out his arse

The fact is those subs are made and we are still in control, 90 secs to go we implode

True.

I don't blame it all on the subs. I just feel like we could have prevented the situatuion ever happening by being on the front foot.

Whilst there will be huge negativity around the place tonight, infact its positively stinking on here.

What i did notice was a significant uplift in fitness and mobility throughout the squad. Unfortunately absolutely overshadowed by the final 45 seconds but a huge improvement from the last games

But he's good enough to know it mate. That's the frustration.

I'm buzzing he's here and we actually played well tonight for large patches. Our goals were very good.

But he should know better. It really doesn't matter if it's 4 weeks or a year.

Personally I think it does. Somebody like Silva would have persisted every game, I don’t think Ancelotti will and that’s the big difference. I’d imagine he’ll cull the problem immediately.

I thought we played really well tonight, the passing through the lines was quick and decisive, you can see the training ground work is paying off and that’s why I’m happy to say he probably trusted Davies to come in and implement what they’ve been doing in training

What's he working out?

Hes got no options with that squad, its depleted and garbage across key areas
He can work out each players strengths and weaknesses, and play to them until he can bring in new people who don't have so many of the latter.

Right, but tonight mate why did Niasse come on?

I'm not saying it was that change that did for us but come on. In that situation, 2-0 up at home, why is he bringing on Niasse? Why not Gordon? Give the lad a run out at home and the crowd something to cheer about.

Not saying we wouldn't have thrown it away like we did. But you can't tell me that wasn't a poor sub, whichever way you look at it.

Ancelotti was utterly incompetent against possibly the worst Newcastle side seen here for years. Nobody in the football ground would have made those subs. The game was won and decent players taken off for trash like Davies and Oumar. The subs caused disarray and signalled surrender and Newcastle took it. Ancelotti should apologise. Top manager my backside. No excuse whatever.
