Suppose we could always give Howe a go, Curbishley and McClaren aren't up to much these days. Moyes might fancy a return?

Give it a rest you bunch of almighty bedwetters. He needs time and bar from a few poor performances that took the sheen off of the season we did reasonable. Couple of seasons in then we can see where we are and how he has done.

It makes perfect sense actually. One thing people misunderstand about the truly great players (and managers) is not that they can perform in the high-stakes games, but that they can deliver at a relentless quality level in every game, every week. That's why City are so good.

Whereas Ancelotti's Goodbye World Tour 2020 is only putting in strong performances in front of sell-out crowds. For than quiet little gig in front of a few dozen faithful, the band is just going through the motions. Might as well just put Spotify on.

mate the season was a write off as soon as we went into lockdown. Preseason is going to be short, there are going to be ALOT of injuries next season.
The last thing I would have wanted for next season would have been early stages of the europa on top of that. As soon as we went into lockdown it was pre season for the rest of the season.

to think otherwise is naive as f***. Especially for the last game of the season when Bournemouth were still fighting for survival and we had nothing to play for at all.

I’m not taking any notice of results post lockdown as they were utterly meaningless.

Haha. I don't. Trust me.

But I have eyes. I have seen Sigurdsson play the worst football of his career as a 6 under Carlo. And I did see how Sigurdsson had his by far best performance under Carlo away against Sheffield United when Carlo for the first time played him as a 10.

I can see that Bernard have not had a single good game in 4-4-2. I can see how poor Gomes and Davies are next to Sigurdsson compared to when they played with Gueye. I can see that Iwobi is 10 times as good on the left as he is on the right. I did see how good Iwobi was second half against Norwich when he was told to cut inside. And I did see that he was asked to stay wide again the next match.

I have seen how every single midfield in the league have been able to outnumber and overrun the Everton midfield 2. I did see Crystal Palace controlling the game at 1-1 on Goodison. Everton should never have to rely on counter attacking at home against Palace. Never.

That said. I have seen improvements. When balanced and well organized with two blocks of four, it has been a lot harder to break through Everton than you should expect. Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin have benefitted from having a partner on top. And who knew. After three years Michael Keane finally looks like the defender we got from Burnley. All we needed to do was to play like Burnley.

Here's the thing, his choices are limited. Let's take your central midfield issue. His choice in the last phase of the season was one of the following combinations: Davies and Gomes, Davies and Sigurdsson or Gomes and Sigurdsson. Somebody has to play in those positions and those are the players available to him. If Baningime and Adenerin can't even get on the field in that situation, they can't be anywhere near premier league standard.

What would you have him do?

Has the spirit of Kieran infected this place?

Please somebody tell me what expectations you had that Ancelotti hasn't met in his half a season and no transfer windows? Who do you think would have met these?

60 points get you 6th. I project that if Carlo gets a full season with 38 games. You must get a U from Gcse maths orly. You deserve Roberto.

Sam had us 6th in form as well like

Our FFP situation hasn't changed. Only our cashflow. I would imagine since we're backed by a pair of multi billionaires we can adapt to these circumstances. We're pressing ahead with half a billion on a stadium and they're in the mix for more than that in waterside property who's value will be diminished if the club are still rubbish.

These people are serious, it will all be fine.

But cash flow has an immediate bearing on FFP? Our accounts weren’t great before all this kicked off so surely it will have some effect on our transfer business. The fact we are losing money and still going ahead with the stadium will surely have an impact too? I wish I could be as confident as yourself

So you are telling us a world class manager can just come in and get CL or something similar with this poll of players, which made up by the previous 5 permanent managers. Honestly, who can do this certainly not somebody like Martínez or Silva.

This isn’t CM...if this is as easy as you made out then everyone can be a football manager.

Sigurdsson. We have Gbamin, Delph and Gomes out for most season, please enlighten us what else can Carlo do? Carlo plays 4-4-2 because under the resources he got that would be the most effective formation. It doesn’t matter what formation a manager plays. We played 4-2-3-1, 3-5-2 etc under the previous managers that ain’t working either.

So you are having a go at Carlo because Chelsea who are 4th in your table, get 4 more points out of last 20 games. Give us a name who do you believe he can do a better job than Carlo, with this squad?
Ranieri came in and won the league with a squad much worse than Everton's.

Not really relevant, but still interesting. As what Carlo have tried to do is more or less a carbon copy of what Ranieri did with Leicester. One big F you to Klopps gegenpress and a Peps tica taca. We dont care about having the ball. We care about results. And good luck to you trying to break down our old-fashioned Italian 4-4-2 tactics.

One difference is that Ranieri had success with it using a midfield two with Kante and Drinkwater. While Carlo has tried the same tactics using Drinkwater and Drinkwater.

Fantastic job by Ranieri. But teams learned how to break down his defence and the team was a joke without Kante. His second season they fighted to avoid relegation and he was fired in February. I seriously doubt that success with his tactics is possible in 2020.

I am not having a go at Carlo. I just say that he most improve and that performances have been under par. Everton have done better the last 20 matches 12 of the last 15 seasons.
