Well, it's worked!
Of course it worked , it was only stating what some us miserys were thinking . I was hoping for a source or an event that might of happened but then you get to the bottom and headbutt a wall at the realisation that you've read from a paper that makes The Sunday Sport look like an Oxford Thesis.

I'm 32 so I just remember days of football transfers without social media. I guess if you are under 28 or something it's all you know.

You do not need to every details and , luckily, the fans are not involved. Just get on with you day.
Apart from Chelsea, there's been little to no transfers across the PL bar the odd one; if there's been more at a club, many look like younger talent.

While I do want us to get deals over the line sooner rather than later, the expectation that most should be done already is naive bordering on fanciful.

Admittedly, yesterday's performance obviously hasn't helped the situation because we looked rubbish, again; people however need to be a bit more relaxed.

Amazing what one made up article can do to people lol, its took so long for them to make it up and so easy to do at this time, whats next when we sign players that they write one saying Carlo forced Everton hands or he was resigning lol

I remember being at my gran’s house and checking teletext to see we’d signed Tim Cahill seemingly out the blue. Simpler, happier times.

He won’t leave but if he did it might be the catalyst for a real awakening of a sleep walking fan base, who have been brainwashed by our chairman and past managers.

Even some public pressure would cause people to wake up but he’s not that sort of guy.

Sadly our fanbase is far too gone.

A mix of too many arl fella's who have seen their share of success and are not arsed if the younger fans get to see any & younger dooey eyed fans like Adam Jones brought up on the media narrative of the club being plucky underdogs who should be grateful to just be in the Premier League every season.

I suspect he's just here for his pension nest egg.

In the grand scheme of things I see his point: nothing to prove, on his way into retirement, and then some chancer picks up the phone looking to make his next big name leap into the dark signing and willing to hand over £12M for a couple of years and employ his son.

Obviously, the galoot wasn't the way forward, but we really should have been looking to bring in a man with a bright future and hungry to start winning.
