This is not new on my part, I think the paper is just picking up on the vibe...they may even read websites to see whats what, then spin 2+2 into 5
Anyway, I don't doubt that Ancelotti is good, or he has the commitment.
I Do doubt that Moshiri has a clue on the football side and expects miracles

For instance, allegedly etc. Abramovich bought a player for Jose at 30mill back when that was like BIG money.
But hes not the sort of striker I need
You're the coach, coach him so he is.

It doesn't work like that - but I'm not too sure Moshiri gets this.

I stand by my earlier statement, Re lipstick on the EFC pig.
No proper backing and Ancelotti would be within his rights to say sod this for a game of soldiers
Ancelotti is a vastly successful , experienced and seemingly intelligent person. I think it’s highly improbable that he entered into a contract without being fully informed and fully aware of our current spending constraints and squad capabilities.
He has signed a long term contract and has stressed many times that he sees his task as a gradual transformation of a mid table club into one that can challenge at the top.
He knows it will take time but a portion of our fans refuse to accept this and are intent on instant gratification. If these fans were to be appeased we would continue in the state of destructive instability in which we have been mired for several seasons.
Such periods of instability are increasingly dangerous and usually presage disaster.

I hope you're right and that both sides were agreeing to the same thing when the deal was done and...properly funded and supported He stays the course

Even if we do absolutely rubbish, he should be under no pressure.

Expectations need to be extremely low until there is some serious recruitment.

There are people already questioning him and its actually embarrassing.
Yep. It’d be harder to think of anything more moronic, but here we are.
I know this football site is about opinions, but anyone unhappy and wanting Ancelotti replaced is so far beyond facts and the real world as to be delusional. With whom? Pep? Why not go all-out stupid and ask for Klopp? Or are they still hankering for Martinez? Or Walter Smith? Please God make it stop.

None of this is Carlo’s fault. It’s up to the board to deliver on their promises to back him in the transfer market and then he can be judged. We’ve had no midfield for the entire season and he still got us to safety with relative ease.

I'm not sure the reports of Carlo are 100% accurate but it would be the most Everton thing ever if we have backed every manager in the last few years to the tune of hundreds of millions and when we finally have a top manager and the wedge has dried up.
Yup.

Absolutely. Considering some of the charlatans we have on the books, the ability to get anything out of them is amazing. We’re sometimes starting a game with (effectively) 10 or 9 players.
