I think it would have been established first and foremost, especially given those who do need to leave are clearly not good enough for the manager to take us to the next level.
For what it's worth, ancelotti will get the funds needed to take us to top 6 and beyond. There's a difference between funds and wages. Funds can be unlimited but wages are what hinders the club. The higher the wage bill , the more unsustainable the playing squad becomes without top end success.
I've said it before but if we shipped out a total of 5 players now , we would free up enough weekly wages to pay 10. On the basis we aren't offering them 100 grand a week on top of that.
The money is there , I'm not doubting that notion. But it's hard to spend 50 million on a player to improve the squad when you have 5 or so players who noone wants to buy costing you 500 grand a week.
