So you’ve glossed over all the massive positives I’ve posted and gone full circle to some unsubstantiated nonsense about us ending up in the Championship?

Quite frankly if the new stadium, the stuff that’s going to bring, the names players and managers and all that doesn’t excite you after the utter crap we had to endure in the 90’s and 00’s then you’re either brand brand new to the club without an understanding of what it’s like to follow the club or you don’t follow the club at all.

So statistically we’re doing what all other teams in Europe are doing with the exception of the good ones..... that’s fine but there’s no doubt we’re not or at least haven’t been pulling our weight in home games.

It's just a weird season is all I'm saying. So I personally wouldn't say we've figured out how to do away games because next year is going to be different on that front. I think it is better to just say what are we doing well overall and not try to split it that way.

what actually matters is the here and now, i haven't seen anything on the pitch to fill me with any optimism, not just today but the back end of last season was equally dire if i recall

It hasn’t even taken a loss but suddenly David Moyes is the finest manager the world has ever seen (despite never winning anything in his career), a team having their first good season in years are to be drooled over and all of our players and club staff aren’t fit for purpose. A 1-1 draw, let that sink in lol

100% This!! Moyes' first decent season in a decade or more and people are actually comparing him to our manager who has won absolutely everything, sometimes on multiple occasions. Incredible stuff

I can’t see what he could have done to change that last 15 minutes there other than maybe getting King on and having him run the channels. I think the problem was we sat back and went long but had no outlet upfront to try and keep it up there, every time we went long it instantaneously resulted with Palace running back at us. Players were on their last legs due to tiredness was evident.

I appreciate he is trying to manage the squad with our midfield so lacking and so many injuries but the tactics of sitting on leads and not controlling the ball have been consistent all season. Palace's goal was coming for over twenty mins. We need to put team's away and control games much better if we can't win home games we are not getting Europe. We have thrown away too many opportunities so it's on the players desire too. Frustrating and disappointing but not unexpected.
