Davide has had 5 jobs PSG, Madrid, Bayern, Napoli and Everton. The only person to employ him has been his aul fella. He was 22 when he got a coaching job at PSG.

If he is so highly thought of then why was he unemployed for a year when his Da had a year-long sabbatical between Bayern and Napoli.

Maybe he likes working with his dad?

I mean, for a 32 year old, to have been give employment by PSG, Madrid, Bayern, Napoli and Everton. It's not a bad list is it! They cant all be wrong.

Those are both things that are much easier to do when you're familiar with what the team is doing. Actually pressing is pretty much impossible at this level if it isn't well drilled. Everyone has to know their job.

And it should be drilled. Which is on the management. Again, not sure the ability to press is an 'identity' though.

Ultimately I agree we need to be much better but that's on the players as much as the manager. We had enough chances to win tonight even though we didn't control the game for large spells. It's no coincidence we always bottle it when we have the chance to get in the race or when the pressure is on. We have players who like it easy or when the pressure is off. Apart from a few exceptions they aren't winners.

Well he's very young but I believe he has also worked personally with players in the past too.

It's probably not the best day to do this because we were relatively decent tonight. But we haven't played that well basically since the derby or maybe even since Burnley away. Those also coincide with a fit James. So what is really driving it?

Agree we don't control the game then we drop further and further back it felt inevitable that we would concede.
Ancelotti has instilled more belief in the squad but I must admit watching us cling on every week against bang average sides is not an enjoyable experience. We were a tight offside call from doing the same against West Brom.

Did we play well at Burnley away?

Clearly Ancelotti is looking to massively overhaul performance. Hes looking to bring out more points from a similar performance level, quite successfully in a broad sense.

@Groucho its almost as if people were expecting him to come in and turn an underperforming squad made up from the ideas of 4 previous managers into a top European side overnight. Then when it hasnt happened they have the cheek to call one of the most successful men in football a dinosaur etc.

Im glad hes here. im aware itll take 3-5 seasons to turn this around, realistically this club has only had 3 good seasons since 1987.

Weve got a game in hand on every club above us and if we win. Big if at the minute. 2 points of 4th. In his first full season.

I imagine he would but whether he stumbles on to it or not is anyone's guess. It would probably be easier to have one to start that way we can recruit the players needed for it to work. We just kind of scattergun at targets and make what we can out of what ends up here which to me feels like it can easily go sideways.

I agree Carlo clearly is more a manager who relies on individuals producing within a tactical set up. We are not drilled to one system you could say that's his weakness on the other hand having a plan b is something we screamed for under Martinez and Silva.
