2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

From what we were producing under Silva that had us 15 points from 15 games? Yes it has.

I must have missed this mythical period we had before Ancelotti when we used to play sweeping attacking football. When was that, because all I remember is Koeman Allardyce and Silva all getting fired for playing some of the most inept incompetent football in our premier league history with one of the worst groups of players we’ve ever had at Everton.

Early swallows catch the morning worm. I used to work with a fellow, Mike, whose wife was called Dawn. The old call 'early to bed, and up with the cock at the crack of dawn' was a bit cliched for Mike and his PhD in applied maths; Mike's favourite was 'the dawn bird caught this morning's python'.

Of course he loves it here. He gets to finish 12th and then finish around where we usually do and be praised.

He’s got of the easiest, extremely high paid jobs in World football.

Wait there, who is praising him for finishing 12th, if they are then I would argue against them too.

I think you are reading way too much into 'constructive criticism' of the here and now and then seeing praise and/or seeing positive posts about the future work and where somebody with Ancelotti's CV can take us with a bit of structure and stability.

We are not in a position where we can sack managers after short term 'No success'* we need to stay strong and we will hopefully see the benefits. Football has become a joke when it comes to this, we go back to the aged old argument, the 80's would not have happened if Kendall was rightly sacked, Ferguson at United could have been sacked and nobody would have batted an eyelid.

*I couldn't put failure as we are not failing.

5 games, all of which apart from the West Ham game at home were completely meaningless with nothing riding on them. Everton occasionally beating up some team in the summer at Goodison who couldn’t be arsed with us because we were a complete non entity. Do people want this over what Ancelotti is producing now?

I can name more games if you want they were just a few examples to jog your memory

Heh, one message you could take from those wins is that pretty much every one was followed by the manager being sacked no later than Nov the following season (bar Unsy stepping down after West Ham).

Looks like Carlo will be out by Sept with no big win goodwill to save him!

When does Carlo get the ‘won at anfield’ trophy?
At least that’s a tangible improvement..
There's an open bus parade planned for the summer.

I understand a sizeable presence of forum malcontents will be in attendance with eggs and flour.

Violence will flare when a counter protest insurrectionist group, led by @the sniderman, clashes with the former group. Well, custard pies will be thrown.

I will be in the bomb shelter, chilling with frazzles and poppers.

This is his first full season and it hasn't finished yet but with the final stages of the season we are 5 points from 4th (2 if we win our game in hand).

My view is that all those who are whinging about Carlo need to take a reality check. This strange season has been good,so far for us. Our home form has been poor but our away form has been our best for years. In a normal season that would probably be reversed. In terms of points and league position this could still be our best season for a while.
We must give this man the length of his contract to turn the team and squad round, which I have every confidence he will. It is also pointless going on about how rubbish some of our squad are,we know that. I think he has improved a few players performance and hopefully that will continue.
We cannot keep on hiring and firing,it’s counter productive. This has to be the best chance we have had to build a team under a great manager. Just like everyone else I get annoyed and disappointed when we lose or play poorly and we are right to voice our opinions on it but constantly moaning about Carlo won’t change our points total at the end of the season, which is the most important statistic.
