It would take a seriously brave betting man to think we’re finishing above 8th.

We’ve got Villa, Leeds and Arsenal breathing down our necks now.
Be a brave man to say we will make 8th. With a fully fit squad we might be 6th, as it is we are simply not very good. Recruitment in sufficient depth cant happen in one more summer either.

Sample size and representativeness please? Power calculation, confidence interval and statistical significance preferable.

A cynic would suggest he talks up our European chances even though he can see we are crap, as he’s not really fussed if he gets sacked/paid off.
He’s done it all, why would he care?

It was win-win for him coming here.

Doesn’t have to really do anything and gets paid a fat wedge.

Have we had any significantly more injuries than other PL teams? If so, what kind of injuries. Could it be due to how we set up our training? Are we good enough at recovery and injury prevention? What kind of diet plan do the players have? The players we have bought, what kind of injury history do they have, and how does their player profile fit with PL? All this is the manager's responsibility.
Yes. Every single player that has featured for us this season has been injured at some point.

Yes I think we we'll get 4 points out of 6 against Villa and Arsenal away and then it's a toss of a coin playing Villa at home. I think we'd have enough to stay above any of them.

I certainly don't look at the table and crap myself over anything Arsenal, Villa or Leeds have done.

If we beat Spurs ( which is the next game and most important one ) we are right where we should be and in the mix.

People have been saying this about the last 3 games. What’s going to happen when we don’t beat Spurs? Where’s the cut off point where people acknowledge we’re actually underperforming?

It’s the same cycle all over again. New manager bounce then these players slack off. When will people realise that until we move the core of these players on we will be here again in another 18 months time when half this lotnuave duped the club into giving them new contracts again (as Keane has). They’ll see Ancelotti out, new bloke comes in, they all play up for him, get some new deals, then the deck chairs come out again and they’re back to doing nothing.

We have to let Carlo rip out this rotting core no matter how painful it is in the short term. He has to be here when the likes of Davies Siggurdson Coleman Keane have left the club. We can’t have them getting him fired and duping another manager. Get them out.

When you look at the signings which came in.

Godfrey, Allan, James, Doucoure and Olsen, they’re significant improvements on what we’ve previously had.
These are the signings that have came in under Ancelotti.

The players on the pitch today, who aren’t good enough, your Davies, Sigurdssons, Iwobis aren’t on him.

The work he has done with Calvert-Lewin, is worth time alone.

So many positives, but for some reason, we’re Everton and we deserve to win 5-0 every game.

Ancelotti says the season is over for JP Gbamin. Player fell on his knee and he suffered a medial ligament injury. Mina has a muscle problem and is likely to be out for "a couple of weeks". Ancelotti expects to have DCL, Pickford, Allan, Gomes & King back for Spurs
