because we are in an injury crisis right now and have no players to fill the bench

so if your saying we need to get rid of 10 players realistically we are not going to sign 10 replacements

we have alot of players out of contract in the summer but your dreaming if you think we are getting rid of the likes of davies, gomes or sigurdsson in the summer

I don’t want or expect them to be world beaters. I would take us attempting to win a game of football against bottom half fodder at this point.

The clear out should’ve started last season. He clearly loves Davies and Sigurdsson, they aren’t going anywhere.

It’s not how football works.
I don’t disagree, but hou can’t just sell all your players and use an infinite pot of finance to build a team.

I don’t believe anyone would have signed Sigurdsson for a fee which have seen anything other than a £30m loss for ourselves.

Davies isn’t fetching money to transform a team.

So it’ll be done in stages, I’d expect more dross to be moved on this summer, and more of what Ancelotti wants to come in, and play to his benefits.

When we finished 7th with Koeman, we finished 8 points behind 6th, 15 off 4th

When we finished 8th the following year, we finished 5 off 7th, 14 off 6th and 26 off 4th

Year after that, we finished 3 off 7th, 12 off 6th and 17 off 4th

After tonight’s result we’re 1 off 7th, 4 off 6th and 7 off 4th with 8 games left

Yep. What can you say really? We signed 3 quality midfield players and they've not been on the same pitch together since November. Without them, our team is disjointed and lacking cohesion.
We go again next season. There are positives to build on. We were never going to be an overnight fix

Middle of April and our season is falling apart due to having a whole team of players out injured, the majority of whom walk into our best 11.

But no excuses from me, its not been a great season.

So we shake ourselves down, try and enjoy the last few games, savour The Euros and go again refreshed and with some shiny new players again in September.

The brand of football is based on the personnel we have available.

It's actually painful to see some of our fans not comprehending this simple fact.

Style of play and results are largely determined by personnel. Some are expecting Carlo to be making them a full roast dinner when he's only got the ingredients for the carrot and turnip.

He's got a lot of flaws and he's good at a lot of things as well.

His flaws have often been hidden by having players actually capable of kicking a football to other players on their team.

We don't have that, because our recruitment has been awful, our management of the squad is awful, and our medical department are awful, and we're cursed as a club.

When all of those pile on, those flaws of Carlo's are exposed.

I don't know if he's definitely the right man but still have faith he is and today's result doesn't actually add or take away from that belief for me.

Needs another summer, and it needs to be right, but we need to start seeing some idea of how to play that isn't 7 centre-backs.

100% the playing squad is very unlikely to be seriously improved over the summer
