Teams we were hoping to get ahead ahead of, and definitely should be, in Leicester and Wolves got off to slow starts and now look to have got themselves together but we are just continuing to get worse and worse with every game.

Ancelotti needs to ring the changes at the back. The defence and goalkeeper is nowhere near good enough.

Southampton was anything but a comfortable win game. They're a good side.
Thats the alex iwobi approach to games. Turn up. Do very little and then wonder why these teams are not getting beat.
Amazingly thats been within Everton for a while. Amazing because we're not even anywhere near good enough to think we could rock up anywhere and get a "comfortable" win.
That whole attitude needs to be erased.

it is and will be mate

I know people were freaking out about what he said at the weekend but I genuinely think he’s gonna stick with Olsen for the time being. Defence will be rectified once Coleman, Digne and Holgate are back in it, I would however put Branthwaite or Godfrey in alongside Keane on Saturday as Mina is daft enough to give away a soft pen to the Mancs

Mina definitely has to be left out now. Why spend £25m on Godfrey if not to use him when one of your starting CB is no longer reliable?

Is this not more reason for everybody's heads to remain firmly on shoulders? If we'd have lost Southampton and Newcastle in our first two games, then taken four points off Spurs & Liverpool and tonked Brighton & WBA in our next five games everyone would be buzzing.

I think United are beatable, then after the international break we have another chance to put a run together with (hopefully) all our key players back. No need to panic.

Leicester's squad is better than ours (squad depth wise). They've got some quality players out injured and have managed to keep pretty much going, bar a few iffy results - Vardy is just a wonderful player. Wolves have a system which they know how to play.

It's still very, very early in the season. The frustration comes that it's the same old players making the same old mistakes. They are in because of injuries and daft suspensions, which has to be taken into account. That being said, we should have made more moves to ensure they weren't called on as soon as we have one or two problems.

My only real issue with Ancelotti is that I think he should have treated Sigurdsson and Delph the same way he did Bolasie, because neither of those two blaggers will be anything other than a hindrance to this team.

Which is where a bit of frustration creeps in for me that we didn't push the boat out at the end of the window for that additional, real quality player or, at the very least, a reliable rotation option for our front line.

It felt like an opportunity missed at the time and one or two games later it's proved to be the case, even if having - for example - Josh King on Sunday may not have solved all our issues.

Paying Southampton 50k a week to deprive us of a forward further compounds this frustration.

It was a ridiculous, mental, decision at the time, and it will leave us weaker than we should be right throughout this season.

If you accept the plaudits you have to accept the criticism. It was just quite a poor decision on his end in terms of players to start and players to bring on. Every single person on here saw that lineup and thought "Christ that's going to not be a pretty match" because he chose 5 midfielders with no width or pace to speak of.

Not to mention he, for whatever reason, thinks Gylfi is even a serviceable player instead of the usual liability he is. AND chose him to play with probably our only slower player in the team.
So given what he had at his disposal who should he have played? Because the players on the bench won’t pull up any trees

There are only so many players you can throw out. Especially when starters go down

ive missed your moaning

Our best team when available is only papering over the cracks beneath it. Carlo can't fix that in the short term. So much dross to get rid of will take several years. I hope he sticks it out. In the meantime, lower your expectations.

Well mate what you say has happened is correct but I look to the injuries we have suffered and absent players that has greatly affected performance. For me don't care how desperate Carlo is, give Iwobi and Siggy the heave ho. Look to our couple of young guns, give them more time and they will come good.

Yeah I have a feeling Siggy and Delph are good talkers or good trainers, and somehow Bolasie being a friendly joker has counted agianst him, the other two may have been serious and sensible in training and looked good
