We’ve a chance of the conference league now, Europa looking unlikely.
If he is going to be stuck with the majority of this team for next year then that’s very worrying.
Pickford has done enough to earn a reprieve. Digne, Godfrey, Allan, Doucoure, DCL all worth building on.

im not counting on Rodriguez as he is made of paper. Richarlison has been abysmal so needs to improve, can’t fault Coleman, at least he has a bit of heart. Keane and Mina are just ok but the latter is another perma crock.

The rest can GTF and aren’t premier league standard.

Based on what I witnessed at the start of the season when all out better players were available and 100% fit and our football was a joy to watch. Let’s not forget that before injuries and suspensions started kicking in. Can’t recall the last time other than the derby game at home we had all our better players available for selection and in the same starting XI.

Andre Gomes and Gylfi Sigurdsson have played more games than both Allan & James this season, that tells you all you need to know really.

Lets hope you're right and next season is better when we bring in better players.

Results wise, from this gang of cowards - he's getting blood from a stone.

Most of this season he's only had 2 of 'his' players in there.

Yup, let's wait for some proper footballers to arrive. Ancelotti obviously doesn't see any quality in this squad to "dominate" games, hence why it's a boring watch right now but it gets us results in many games. I'm looking forward to this season's end and beginning of the summer window.

That’s what I’m expecting.

If he’s given a massive war chest this summer and gets the players he thinks will improve us and this time next season we are still playing the same style of football as we are currently I will be the first to call him out believe me.

I trust he’ll get it right. He’s no mug. He’ll know this current crop isn’t up to standard.

And if Villa had Watkins and Grealish available from the start, maybe they win? Yes, we need better players, but the onus to win was on us today and we played 5 defenders against a side without their best player and best striker. That line up didn't exactly send out the message that we wanted to win. We didn't try a leg until the last 10 minutes.

We were the better side second half.
Their keeper made a brilliant save and gomes had 2 good chances.
We need to improve yes. We will with better players .
 

This game didn't cost us. Home form killed us.

We're lot more solid defensively, just grim going forward which he can sort out with more time.

I just hope we don't buy older players in summer. Young, fast energetic players only. We have to be really uncompromising on that.
 
Carlo just needs better players especially in the wide positions with pace. We are so poor going forward. Need some real winners as just look at that performance then with loads riding on it. Many of them didn't look arsed. We need a change of mentality. The attitude is so poor and frustrating to watch. I can take losing games, but It's not much to ask for some passion and fight in the team.

I think he made that save in the 88th minute which was his first and only serious piece of work. Gomes has scored 1 goal for Everton and is one of the worst strikers of the ball I've ever seen in my life, if we're bemoaning a result because he couldn't slot then we're really clutching at straws.

I completely agree with you that we need better players, but so does every club in the league, even Man City could improve a position or two. We had to win today, had to, and we didn't show any desire to do so. We played 5 defenders for the vast majority of the game and even when we took one off, we didn't even change the system, we just carried on doing the same thing.
