2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

Carlo did alright today apart from some questionable selection and substitution.

Game plan was good, very high tempo focussing on passing forward quickly and giving the players freedom of running with the ball. Allan and doucuore attempt more dribble than they did in 10 games. Complete overhaul in the way we’ve played all season.

we did enough to squeeze a narrow win but just couldn’t score.

Leeds did a terrific job shutting down Richie. Double, triple team at every occasion. We are not smart enough to overcome that.

Everyone likes the idea of Ancelotti but the reality we have seen is nowhere near good enough.

He isn’t in his prime and his decline as a manager has been in progress for the last few years.

We don’t look fit and he can’t organise a defence.

The performances do not justify his performance at this club.

He’s been here a year and can anyone honestly say we’ve improved since he took over?

The defence is a disgrace but at least we didn´t concede 2 today like we have done for the last 6 games. We´re going to find it very difficult to win matches until we get that sorted.

wasn’t this one of the things that his Bayern team got slatted for ?

Not sure mate but always been a thing for me with Everton. I can't remember the last time I watched us under any manager and thought yep we're a very fit side.

Obviously we have some glaciers in the squad but even the younger lads always look gassed.

We had 2 fit RB's in the Summer why would we buy another?
Who was the 2nd and where has he gone? Plenty on here had Coleman as finished and his back up last season was a guy that we let go as obviously not good enough? We all knew we needed one but didnt act.

When we signed Godfrey our available CB's were: Mina & Keane. Holgate, Branthwaite, Gibson

When we signed Godfrey our available RB's were: Coleman & Kenny.

Think it was obvious we needed one.
Holgate and branthwaite never had long term injuries though. We have had a long term problem at right back

I think we did need a new Cb btw, but we needed a rb a lot more

Got it wrong today but the reaction here is well over the top.

Overall some good progress since he took over - he wasn't taking this Everton team to the top so quick.

Time.
Can't blame him for not trusting a very inexperienced fullback in Niels, and only have the club to blame for leaving him so bare at the back in the transfer window. We needed a rightback.

Well he's now injured but at the time both were fit.

We look every bit the same team that finished 12th last year. No one will be shocked if that’s where we end up.

He got it wrong even before the game began, Iwobi for once in his life had a good first half last week playing from the right and this week he plays at LEFT wing back, he did not even have a natural full back on the bench. I am sorry but starting to have real problems with Ancelotti. He also refuses to have faith in any of his young players. Our players are nowhere fit enough, Leeds kept on running for the whole game while ours were shattered in the second half.
