2020/21 Carlo Ancelotti

Saw Brighton copying our set piece defence set up against West Ham (to very poor effect). I’ve not seen them do the two rows in the penalty area before. Carlo is one of those managers that changes the game. Won’t be long before some of the managers at the bottom end of the table start copying the 4 CBs in a flat defence as well.
Commentators used to bring this up every time (because they are bores who love to bleat on about defending all the time) and say how strange and weird it was and how we should revert to man-to-man because zonal marking is the devils work. They've all piped the feck down now that we have the best set piece record in the league...(or one of them at least)

They won't have 4 centre backs as good as ours though...

He's just brilliant. Laughable to think back on the moans and calls for him to go from some morons on here just a month ago.

A common sense pragmatist. Doesn't always get it right but does so very much often enough.
He’s calm and knows what he’s doing, he can’t work miracles when some players aren’t performing but he does fix things quite quick when things are going wrong. Moyes actually was quite good at that in his time here, but obviously Ancelotti has got a lot more about his management style than moyes ever had. A few more quality players and I really think big things will happen, hope those players happen sooner rather than later.

The man is one of the best managers in the World and we’re incredibly fortunate to have him at our club.

To be sat on 29 points after 15 games, with an injury ravaged squad down to its bare bones, is quite remarkable.

Same point last season we had 14 points, and we finished the season 10 points off the EL spots and 17 behind the CL places.

The turnaround is stunning and off the back of 3 signings and 1 window.

Anyone who hasn’t seen the Between the Lines show with Ferdinand on BT should watch it, especially the knee jerkers btw.

He's respectful to those around him, the supporters and other clubs.

He doesn't whine about injuries.

He doesn't talk about his "philosophy

He is flexible about tactics.

Looked for it on YT, but can't find it. Care to drop a link here?

edit: Ignore me, I've been looking at it in search results for good 30 mins and somehow not registering it's there.
