A good team makes individual players better. There is, of course, a limit, but at Leicester they have a player named Marc Albrighton.

I do not agree that we have a squad of bad players. However, I agree that their performance is not always as good as one might expect. We have national team players in almost all positions, and it is not for San Marino, but relatively large football nations.

My argument is that we had not necessarily taken more points with a more expansive style, but we had taken about the same amount of points + -, and at the same time been entertained. Furthermore, I would argue that we have players to do that. Allan was a beast under Sarri, and then first and foremost as someone who won the ball high up in the field. AD is also a bit of the same type of player, lots of energy and physics. JR is the born enganche.

Richarlison is much better when he gets a higher starting point on the field, and is an excellent pressure player. DCL is that athletic beast, and perhaps the best in the PL within the opponent's penalty area. Joshua King adds even more rawness to the team, and is very good 1 vs. 1. Digne is a French national team player who thrives best offensively. One of the best LB in PL. In the defense we have Keane, Mina and Godfrey to choose from. Godfrey has more than enough pace, and can play with either Mina or Keane.

Having a more proactive approach frees up energy, and gives the team more confidence. It is possible we will not get the lucky wins against the big teams, but we will usually win against the teams that are assumed to be weaker.

Of course I respect that Ancelotti has a different philosophy, but I think it's nonsense to say that we can not play in a different way. It's a defensive mindset, and then it's no wonder players lose confidence.

To play this way, I mean only a top 6 position can defend it. Football is entertainment. In the big clubs, winning if your name is Sam Allardyce does not help. Then the supporters will start waving white handkerchiefs. For really, if we do not manage a top 6 position, and all that has been invested in the club, and given the unimaginative football we play, is it worth it?

Just got around to listening to Carlo's post-match presser.

In part, he used the "tiredness" excuse after the FA Cup game. How on earth does he think these players would cope if we play in a Europa League group stage game in Azerbaijan on a Thursday evening, then a Premier League game on the Sunday?

Could David Moyes and West Ham finish above Carlo?

No excuses from us if they do, really. It would be an absolute disgrace.
Not sure about that mate. At this moment the way I feel about us it’s probable they will.
I think they have more energy than us
Not difficult really is it
Better tactics and solid at the back. Also work hard. Typical Moyes team

We need another CM, a RB and a wide player plus a striker at minimum I reckon. Plus a GK! Hope Allan gets back soon because we are lacking leadership out there. Think he’ll throw a few tackles in a get the team going.

The last thing we need is to lose patience and go back to square one. He’ll improve us if he’s given backing and time.

Central midfield (when everyone are fit) is OK, especially given how Tom Davies has come on this season. Unless of course Carlo off-loads the likes of Delph and Gbamin, then we could do with maybe a creative midfielder in.

We're desperate for pace - ideally as you say a first-choice right-back, a winger, and a first-choice striker who can compete with DCL for a starting berth.

And yes, a decent goalie to put pressure on Pickford

Our very own Tinkerman.

Wtf, thought centre back pairings were all about building an intuitive partnership?

Obviously Don Carlo thinks differently

For all his experience and silverware, I think Carlo's CV shows that he's not the best at the rotation thing. Two of his four league titles were tap-ins (Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga win), and he's won quite a few more cups than leagues.

His record suggests that he's better at winning the big games than he is at grinding out the points over 38 matches.

Questioning the type of trophies he has won now jesus christ, sort it out, all you need to know is he has won more than the club has, if he wins a cup here he will have done something nobody has done since 95 'but it's only a cup' gafnjajhfnjhdjkfgrrrrr

That is correct. Without getting the Ancelotti sect after me, he has a bad league record in Serie A. Berlusconi used to only buy offensive star players so that Ancelotti had to play more offensive football.
