Loan with option to buy would be a good deal. That was how Moyes used to operate and how we got the likes of Arteta back in the day.
the only way thatll happen is if we give them inflated fee for a Carney or KDH loanChelsea have refused to take Broja back.
Fair enough. I've never seen him play. My point was more if we could look right across the domestic market we might use the loan spot for a striker which i think is more of a priority than a midfielder. We absolutely certainly are?

There's always a deal to be done. I think, understandably, they're not just willing to rip up the contract.Chelsea have refused to take Broja back.
Chelsea have chucked £1.2 billion at their team, I shouldn't think they care about the money, they probably just don't want him back. There's always a deal to be done. I think, understandably, they're not just willing to rip up the contract.
I reckon the opposite could also be true - given the size of investment they only care about the money and want as much as possible for their financial gymnastics routineChelsea have chucked £1.2 billion at their team, I shouldn't think they care about the money, they probably just don't want him back.
Chelsea hold all the aces and will milk it for all it’s worth.
They are laughing at Thelwell’s nose.
Think you are completely miss reading the situation. They care deeply about money and will be looking at the overall picture in terms of turning a profit.Chelsea have chucked £1.2 billion at their team, I shouldn't think they care about the money, they probably just don't want him back.
It doesn’t work for everyone though really does it? Chelsea don’t really win out of this unless we jump to their tune. Broja is going to be out of commission until next season. There’s interest in Carney. Why would they let us take him and burden themselves with a long term injury? Exactly as you say, we will need to pay extra, which we simply aren’t in a position to do. The only way it happens is if we lose and take all of the hit (deservedly)Think the idea is Broja goes back and we get a different Chelsea player on loan.
Kind of works for everyone - we get a player, Chelsea get an income and they put a different player in the shop window.
But also doesn't - we're not really filling a position we most need to and there is limited choice. Probably also have to pay a bit extra.
Another possibility might be that if they don't have any other takers for him they might be more willing to be lenient in some way?It doesn’t work for everyone though really does it? If this still hinges on ‘if we can cancel the loan’ then every noise, credible and not, have repeatedly said that’s not on the cards. And if the club changes its minds at the last minute, it gets what it deserves
Chelsea are burdened with an injured Broja if they like it or not. Even if he's out on loan or in their own medical room, he's still their player. They will be gutted he hasn't been able to perform at Everton, because I'm sure they'd have liked us to buy him outright in the summer, and that's not happening now.It doesn’t work for everyone though really does it? We’re probably buying him outright in summer. He could have passed from this mortal realm and we’d throw in a bidChelsea are burdened with an injured Broja if they like it or not. Chelsea's model relies on them loaning out fringe players and selling them on. Its in their interest to take Broja back and loan us another player, as that's their only chance of converting a loan into a sale.
