Not really, the fact that he felt to reply to my post, a post in which I only posted figures, a post in which I didnt actually say any of it was bad, speaks volumes for me.

I merely said we needed to sell to buy.

I think the word Kewnrong must have implied bad feelings.

But I dont recall crying like a little bitch once this pre-season about us not signing players, we have signed players, albeit low price and freebies, but I expect big things from Beckford and MyGuy at least.

The key is to retain Pienaar and Arteta.

For once im not crying out for Kenwrong to spend, I just said we needed to sell to buy.

So yeah, I got "owned"? All I did was post figures.

You can do your trash talk now, after the event, but he just schooled you there. He doesn't want a rematch, he doesn't need one.

By that definition (and I agree) Everton are a very well run club. They need to do a better job on the commercial side re: growing revenues, but they get a lot out of not much. Without getting into the stadium debate, Everton clearly need a new stadium that allows us to maximize matchday revenues.

Key really mate, it doesnt matter who takes us over, the buissness is still going to generate what it generates unless it grows, even if there is some investment, investment these days is proving short lived unless you grow the buissness, im looking at clubs like Villa and their struggles at the mo as proof. That said other revenue streams, merchandiseing, sponsorships have been growing in recent years, nothing to the extent - of our outgoings i.e. players wages, transfer fees.

The stadium is key really, when you look what it has done for the likes of Arsenal and one or two others.

Again, I must stress my post was just to highlight figures and spending.

Next your "type" will be claiming we DONT need to sell to buy and mentioning Portsmouth.

At least we aint City.

The pre-season tour to Oz and some of the looking at America show that they've woken up alittle (compared to the disgrace that Wyness presided over = complete non interest commercially) plus some of the advertising of non-match day hospitality I've seen... (had sent to me).

But yeah I agree.

Nice suplex on the fat Goat Neiler.

Count me as one who doesn't take offense at the term Yank unless it's meant as an insult, in which case I'll probably laugh at it anyway cuz it's not much an insult.

More to the point, I always get a laugh when people say things like "I hate Americans" as if we're all exactly the same. In case you haven't noticed, America is a fairly large place with every single nationality, ethnicity, and viewpoint represented. So basing your feelings towards 307 million people based on a sample size of a few academics (not exactly your typical sports fan anyway) is pretty funny to me, more than offensive. Plus, by definition, the "Yanks" on this board are EXACTLY the type of people you can talk sport with because we're all here because we love and support Everton. So you're pointing your gun in our direction seems a little misguided. Finally, I wouldn't base my impressions of any nationality based on the way they act on vacation. Trust me, if you care at all about English national pride, you wouldn't want me judging you lot on how you act on holiday over here. Come to the US and you'll find that most of us are pretty nice open people, but yes most them won't give a damn about English football, any more than most of you don't give a damn who's going to win the Super Bowl this year, but diversity is what makes people interesting, not sameness.

Wait, wait wait! You're saying I can't judge and dislike entire nations on the basis of blind prejudice and a single bad experience?

You strike at the heart of me, sir, the very heart.

Listen obviously, I don't actually hate Americans. It's just I often find their attitudes toward football annoying and if we're going to attract support on the basis of having signed one big name american player, that's not going to be people who are already huge football fans, like the sound Yanks on here are. And if we get american students coming over here to my university and they start talking bollocks about Everton and how Donovan is our only good player and Moyes is clueless for not playing him from the start in that big cup match and we should go buy Bradley and Altidore now, I will smack them.

And then I'll lose my job and end up on the streets and, since the tories have cut the benefits, I'll likely die. And ultimately as much as I like Donovan he'll have to play pretty damn well for me to want that to happen.

Despite what is going on all over fusbal, and right under your noses at Anfield a mile away, you still want your club to just spend, spend, spend. People like you make me sick, you deserve Peter Johnson. He's a wool too.

DAMN YOU DONOVAN, DAMN YOU FOR THIS.

Hahaha and people say Davey boy spins things.

Re-read my tosh, take in the part I said "I dont want us to spend this Season" and go watch xhamster lid.

That's where the money is my friend.

Very much so mate, the other point being we have the fan base for such a facility and to grow that fan base IMO.

I couldnt beleive we were scoffing at 5mill in potential profits, not to get into that debate, but as Matt pointed out that would take care of our debt to financial institutions per season.
