Cazoo to replace Sportpesa

This deal is more shocking the more I think about it.

Spurs deal with AIA was £13 Million 6 years ago they now get £40 Million.

We will have had £9/10 Million a season for what will be 6 seasons by the time this deal finishes.

Farcical.
If we had spurs results over the last 6 years we’d have a better deal. Not that shocking really. We’ve been mid table the entire time whereas they’ve been top 4 regulars and champions league finalists.

We’ve still got to wait and see what no mark brand they have lined up for the sleeve sponsor.

I hope its Megafon - if they could swindle a few million for that and maybe also one of the academy/womens kit sponsers it gives us some more cash in the bank.

How much do we get off angry birds?

out of interest, what’s a “good” looking sponsor in your opinion?

My personal preference is clean fonts, and the little wing mirrors sticking out of the A for me is just a little gimmicky. The actual SportPesa logo is fine - just the company it belongs to isn't. I have no problem with MegaFon, USM, NEC and the like. Boring and straight laced is what I want, just like my personality! :)

If others like the logo that is great, just can't see myself buying a shirt with it on.

Beggars can’t be choosers. Until we have a higher profile (move to the new stadium) or a more successful team, we are going to be the best of the rest in terms of sponsership deals. The top 6 have had regular european football over the last 10 years and are deemed the most attractive to sponsors. If Hummel and Cazoo are the companies that have offered the most, who are we too argue. Hopefully when these deals are up for renewal in 3 years time, we will not only have a new stadium and the higher profile that will bring, but also a side that is competing in Europe regularly. Only then can we expect significant change in the value of our deals.

The Esk played a blinder on this but I am 99% sure he has been briefed by the club to deny at any possible opportunity even the slightest of links of the club to Usmanov. It's the only logical explanation for someone with the intelligence he clearly has to ignore something so obvious, even when those futbolgrad lads were putting incontrovertible arguments to him.

Its a subtle and impressive way we are improving the financial benefits of firstly Hummel and now with Cazoo ;-) 10 million a year is nt too bad and then with sleeve sponsor, womans and u23s sponsors to add, in total it could be another 3 or 4 million if done smartly but not putting us onto the radar for financial dodgeyness ;-)

Think FFP is going to be changed radically in the next few months, the game needs as much investment as it can get across Europe and another City or PSG that could add loads of capital into football would help a lot. Spurs are going to register a 200M loss next year... Just all goes out the window.

Football is a beast of its own though ;-( Its the plaything of the rich now so already when people said the transfer markets will plummet already Chelsea and PSG are splashing the cash ;-( FFP is there to keep the "top" teams where they are so can't see them allowing others possibility to get cash investment ;-( EUFA or FA won't care if a League 2 club folds as long as their favourites are protected

So we basically went from a 10.6 million per year combined shirt and sleeve sponsorship, to 10 million for the mens/u23 shirts. If we can then get a nice sponsorship from Uncle Uzzi for either the sleeves or the other teams, and a decent sponsorship for whats left, could at least grab an extra 3-5 million. Its not world beating, but its a start.

We are maybe comparable to Leicester and even they have a title win.
Capture.webp

This doesn't net you huge dollar.

Leicester get 4 million from the company that owns then. They managed to do ffp backwards.

We seem to be forgetting that Usmanov's nephew is director of Everton Women so expect another sponsor deal soon ....
