He isn't quick, but he's a terrific dribbler of the ball. It's certainly one of his strengths, so not sure what games you are watching.

Seen him once. Basing my opinion on his stats. The matrices I've seen show him as an infrequent dribbler who is regularly dispossessed.

Juggling becoming a super club and maintaining our community club status was always going to be extremely difficult to achieve mate. None of the other top 6 have managed it so I'm not sure why we thought we could. At some stage, in my opinion, the commercial side will inevitably take control should we ever get to that level of course.

it doesn't but this idea that Allardyce will lower the level of football we're playing is BS. We haven't played decent football since Roberto's first season and even that tailed off towards the end.

I like to think I’m clued up on my world football, but who?!

Genuine question. How often have you seen him play in full games and not clips from youtube.
What are you basing your assessment of him being slow on as different reports that I have seen alternate between him being fast and slow.

Based on his physique alone I would expect him to have some pace as he seems to have a light build rather than the battering ram that was Kevin Davies.... a player that I thought was a decent player always.

Based on this. He averages less than half a completed dribble per game. And is highly dispossessed. His attributes appear to be hold. I'm a bit concerned. But I've seen some of his CL clips which were definitely encouraging. He's another huge gamble but let's hope there's been adequate assessment of the risk.
