That is your problem, Besiktas won 2 matches against Leipzig which has Werner that is way better striker than Volland. Moreover, Cenk has a German passport so if he preferred he could choose Germany, indeed; since Leipzig will sell Werner to Madrid, before Cenk moved to Everton, he had an offer from Leipzig around 20m - but since he wanted to play at EPL, his preference was Everton.

many people are talking like there is no player came and succeed from lower divisions in EPL standarts.
Every team transfers proven players and immediately got benefits from them even if they play bad football and even if tactics are opposite of that players proven abilities.
Cenk was the 1st choice in half season for everton because if you try to look around, he is the most succesfull and "in form" striker in europe for that kind of money. yes 22 mil euros +bonuses. try to find some player who is worldclass,proven and you can get from a team totally benefits him in mid-season with that kind of money. many besiktas fans will be furious if bayern was not the CL opponent and cenk goes for 22+bonuses. still many think he goes cheap.
so if everton don't decide to play offensive football and try to benefit most of cenk, it's a shame. because sorry but he is way better that niasse and dlc.

Im not going to sit here and accept that this guy is being misjudged or misused on your say so. My view is he’s come from a highly suspect league with despite what you say No track record of producing quality players.

So what? Let's say Turkey has never had successful players abroad, so? Take David Hume's example: 'If you see 1000 ducks and they are all white; can you claim the next one will be white too?' No you can't, you have to consider each duck at their individuality. And Cenk has that strong personality to violate norms. You just need to be open-minded. If not, I don't care - I would like to see him coming back to Besiktas next year since finding a striker like him for that price at this age quite impossible.

so don't judge cenk as a turk. judge him as german. besiktas structured his 2 year in a row champion squad basically with half-german half-turk players. they all got their education from germany in their young ages. and got successful in turkey. prove themselves in europa league and CL too.
turkey don't raise cool players to gone abroad because we are just like in your mentality. we want success now. don't think about future. also we don't got EPL kind of money. so young players can't find chances much and older proven players play just for escape the monsterious football media and "animal like" fans. so big teams like besiktas purchase young players from germany or england.
for example mesut ozil is totally turkish but choose germany as nationality and got a big talent. If you invest in cenk he can be just like him, of course less but you get the point I hope.
Don't judge players based on where are they from and without any knowledge about them. Cus they can shut u up with goals and goals if your team gives them the chance and tactics where they can show themselves.

Haha, such a hubris. I studied at UCL and for 4 full-years and published papers at Nature etc. Been studying at John Hopkins since then.
To be frank, I had (almost) never been subject to orientalism while I was at London; I don't know - maybe it was because most of the pubs I had been were lefty ones.
But when people talk on forums; they say things they won't/can't say you face to face. So may I be othering you? Possible, at least unconciously. But I am pretty sure Cenk won't be judged this harsh if he was Spanish or French.
