I’d like to see him play some part at least. I think there’s a player in there.I'd like to see Tosun start up top against Brighton. He's played in some considerably weaker teams than we have available now and I'd like to see how he fares in a more balanced team.
He had DCL on the left wing and Schneiderlin playing CM for his last two starts which was never going to be total football in hindsight, and considering he chipped in with a good goal off the bench against Crystal Palace, I'd be inclined to give him another chance to see what he can do with more composed players like Bernard and Gomes around him.
I don't think there is a rush to be rid of him but I think it comes down to economics. Why the rush to get rid just because he isn't starting?
I've seen enough to class him as a very decent back-up with a different threat to Richarlison and co.

I think we nearly all agree that we do need a striker that offers strength , power, pace and goals. I can see us keeping DCL, Richarlison and signing a new face which will be part funded at least be the sales of Tosun and Niasse.
W e simply cannot offer games on a regular basis to five strikers. Niasse seems to have slipped out of the picture completely and Tosun is now a squad player and I am not sure we can afford the luxury of a player in the squad that costs as much as he did but rarely plays.
He’s effectively a back up striker now. Not sure if we went on the market we’d get a better back up striker who would be happy to sit on the bench behind Richarlison. Richarlison Tosun Calvert Lewin Niasse is enough given where we are currently. It would be great to have an Aguero/Kane level player upfront but when you consider the rest of the top 6 they don’t really have them either. Firmino, Morata, Lacazette, Lukaku are definitely a level below those two. Who is to say Richarlison can’t get to that level? He’s certainly hitting the goals currently to do it. Tosun would then be competing against the likes of Lorente, Giroud, Welbeck, Sturridge, Rashford. Rashford aside, how many are that lot going to score each? Tosun is not a problem for us.
Lacazette is a great striker. Put him in city’s team and he’d get just as many as Aguero. He’d be amazing in our side.
