WOW

I think we are seeing a case of redundancy with Sigurdsson and Tosun. They both can set up play, but neither will really take on players and have a go at goal. If we don’t have more than one threat out wide, they aren’t nearly effective. It would be nice to have one of them swapped out for a more dynamic player without Richarlison available.

This guy would make a great back up striker, good attitude, can do it in the prem - but he just is not a striker for the level we are looking to reach

If we had a team pinned back and were creating loads of chances he would be perfect to bring on. He just isn't a main striker, I don't even think he'd be a main striker for any club in the league.

I think he was bad today, but if you watch the positions again, others don't even bother to see him as a target man who can finish well. Most of the passing choices ignoring him completely, even if he made good runs or be avaible, and I think that's why he looked stressed today.
Except that, he can't create chances for himself and he is relying on others to create a meaningful attack where he can finish.
Which is in a "just give me the ball near box, I need to shoot" level of frustration.

Hes a 2nd choice forward I think....think DCL will score more than him this season and force his way in.

We need pace thesedays and sadly he doesn't have it...

I just don't think he is that good. He literally did nothing today. I don't think you can play good attractive football that is sustainable long term, when your centre forward can't move about well.

He hit a great effort from a great pass from,I think, Siggy, and had a couple of headers.I think he had a good game, as did Siggy, apart from the miss at the end, which he should have nailed, from a beautiful vollied touch by Niasse. Once again,we became more of a threat once Niasses threat was introduced....this is going to be a regular ploy by Silva throughout the season. Its early days yet...beat West Ham and we're well in the mix with good players yet to come in,or at least be available. Still say for 13 million Shaquiri would have been a good deal for the squad, but we missed our chance, some time before the RS looked at him.

He puts in effort, has great hold-up play and contributes to the passing play nicely.

Unfortunately, goals are far, far more important than any of this for a striker to deliver in a winning team.

He reminds me a bit of Blackpool Mickey Walsh (there’s one for the teenagers:) )

Hard working and industrious.....but ultimately a non scoring striker is a luxury no team can afford.

Not convinced he's anything more than a back up option when everyone's fit, but I like his attitude and think he's a better second string than Oumar.

Yeah, never a first choice striker for a team like us. People say 'we won't get another Lukaku' but we quite simply have to. We can't go through the next few years thinkinf a 1 in 5 striker is the best we can get. Because if that is the case we aren't going anywhere.
