He was top scorer in the group stage of the Champions League last year, he's played at a much higher level and done well than any of the rubbish we have. He also managed goals in a BFS hoofball system last season. I know he should have scored that header yesterday no question about it, but when he had that shot Siggy ran infront of him due to the fact that nobody seemed to know where they were supposed to be playing. He does need to be a bit sharper infront of goal but i don't think this current system is helping him in anyway.
Ahem....theres nowt wrong with the system , there were plenty of chances made and he could/should have had a hatrick.
Coupled with with some super crosses put in by Kenny & Digne , he never looks like he is getting on the end of any of them.
Systems fine mate ....we need a better striker.

The system is not best suited for the players we have though. In a 4-2-3-1 when the fullbacks are going right forward like yesterday midfielders need to drop back in defence to make numbers up. Ours don't. Tosun is not exactly a giant so why they are throwing crosses in anyway, oh yeah it's because we have nobody that can pass the ball through the middle properly. At the end of the day, he has scored in the CL and scored last season, and the only difference is that we are playing a different way. Also i think when Gomes is fit (if ever) we will see 4-3-3 as that is Silva's prefered formation.

Regardless, he scuffed it. He also headed straight at the GK when easy to score and blazed a free shot 8 yards out over the top.

He was awful yesterday.

The 1st sentence says it all mate.

1 goal in his last 12 games....not good enough.

Of course. But that will still be a punt.

Actually top quality of a top 6 standard... we can't attract

..no, I disagree. Richarlison is a top 6 player we’ve attracted, plenty of top clubs were after Bernard. Lots will depend on whether a player we’re after has other options but I think you underestimate the pull of the Premier League and the pull of a club like Everton.

Thats the first game this season he has had any clear cut chances, its 1 game. Calm down

We have no other option at the moment, Niasse would get on the next Royal Variety Performance impersonating a footballer, and DCL has great pace but not much else. All this stuff about Richarlison as a number 9 is just nonsense, it was just to cover for young Pedro who got injured and Tite the Brazilian coach has already said he doubts it will be a permanent thing.

But why are other people getting chances? We've scored in every game, it's not like we're not creating anything, and yet he hasn't got on the end of anything, because his movement has been poor and he's not capable of fashioning opportunities himself. If he just wants people to put chances on a plate for him he's going to be sorely disappointed at this level, particularly if he finishes them like he did yesterday when they do come along.

Having a bad time, like 90% of the squad ATM. Thought this manager was excellent at bringing the best out of players, most of them seem to have lost any resemblance of form. The guy can finish but our midfield is a desert when it comes to passing forward.Another foreign manager trying to play passing attacking football without the players to pass forward.
