Seriously? I knew lads who hated Rom for sure. He was the brunt of a fair bit of abuse both off and online. I heard Barkley get boo'd (or at the very least groaned at a frequent basis) and yes nobody chased John Stones out, he was too good for us.

Stones is good for City, he was seldom good for us. Getting 50mill for him was an amazing piece of business.

people disliked rom because he mouthed off every chance he got about leaving with his nonce dad or agent for about 3 years, not because he wasn't good

the barkley booing is an absolute myth, the fans loved him, they just got frustrated when he done silly stuff BECAUSE they knew how good he is and shouldn't be doing stuff like that

Barkley was properly slated for years by our fans, both in the pub and in the ground.

Same as Lukaku getting dogs abuse and people being all over the back of Stones.

I was banging on about this in the pub before the Arsenal match last weekend.

Put those three in to our side now and we would be right up there.

well the pub is different to the match, no one around me ever singled them out for dogs abuse

few mumbles here and there but we could sign messi and that would happen if he gave the ball away, its part of football

barkley was clapped on and off every single home game, Rom was a mouthy tit but he was boss and the fans knew that

stones had 1 game where fans got on his back because he was doing cryuff turns in the box when we was a couple of goals down

So booing him for his own good.
 
People got annoyed with Lukaku because he made it clear he wanted out at every opportunity. They got slate Fellaini even though we got a price higher than his realease clause. Stones and Barkley will never get close to Lukaku quality.

barkley given the free role behind the striker.


 
Regardless of other things, there were definitely lots of people who were absolutely convinced that Lukaku was holding us back because of his 'poor control' and 'laziness', as well as us relying on him too much for goals. Losing him was going to mean the goals were shared out and make the whole team better. Instead, we just play the same way, only without a natural goalscorer to bale us out.

Tosun isn't awful, but he really needs to step up massively if he's going to be a success here. When we were all desperate for a striker this time last year, how many of us would have been happy if we'd been told that one would be coming in in January, but he'd only have scored 5 goals by now? I know I wouldn't.

That should have read in the pub before and after the match.

I'm a season ticket holder. All three got loads from our fans at Goodison.

It was better away from home definitely (and still is with regards to abusing our own).

absolute myth they got singled out, remember barkley scored against burnley on one of his last home games and jumped into the crowd kissing the badge, he nearly got necked by the fans

as I say mumbles when he done something daft just because they know hes better than that
