No going back from this I'm afraid

Sure football fans will come together to condemn the decision of 'The Trump Twelve' - but that won't last longer than a couple of years. In time every fan will just accept it as being a thing that exists and we'll all end up watching these matches because we enjoy football

Righteous rage doesn't tend to last too long with matters like this

Just took a little trip to The Fighting Cock, forum for Spurs fans and not the nightclub.

Fans seem pretty evenly split over it. But this was my favourite post:

"Let’s be honest with ourselves, we’d be embarrassed every week if we were in this b******t league. Levy truly would turn us into the laughing stock of world football just for more revenue."

Runner Up:

"Tottenham are now the footballing equivalent to the Italian national rugby team in the six Nations, pointless and w**k."

The idea that the PL can't kick these out because it'll hurt the competition too much is a crock of crap. No one gave two fs about Man City in 2006 and 15 years on they are the club in Europe. It can be done again. Same goes for Chelsea earlier and to an extent Spurs as well.

Kick them out.

But it’s one thing being City, and to be fair to City they’re now becoming successful, but they’re still not w huge club domestically or worldwide.

Whereas I reckon the biggest pullers of the league are Liverpool and Man Utd as the two most supported clubs in the country and world wide.

So yes, no one cared about Man City, but people do care about Liverpool, United and lesser so Arsenal and Chelsea... would anyone miss Tottenham? No chance.

I’m for kicking them out, but the loss of the two big pills would be drastic. still be a good league but with significantly less revenue.

This only works if they kick them out of the League. People saying Football is dead are wrong. It will only be dead if these teams are allowed to stay in the prem.

The league will build again with out them in my opinion. other teams will just take there place.

Of course Tony, they have to be volleyed out as a matter of principle. These knobheads have been tonked by West Broms, Fulham and the mighty Everton. These aren't powerhouses, these are money grabbing greedy tits.

We don't need these clubs

How are you say that? I will never watch any of those games!

Nice to see they are self-aware!

Liverpool V Man United, in Jakarta in front of 90,000 will how this league will sustain itself and create revenue.
Was thinking this. If they have problems hosting matches at home stadiums they'll just have them elsewhere. Maybe they'll change the names of the clubs so they're not tied to a location. Or maybe they'll just move them all to the US. Actually, that's what's happening isn't it. America has just leveraged the entire European football pyramid to create a new MLS.
