Champions League revamp

They simply won't be allowed to play in the league mate. They'll be out voted by the PL members.

If this is the case, then this is great news, imo.

If it is to be decided on the voting system that you refer to, it would require all of the other clubs to vote them out tho. You’d like to think that they all would.

If they are dismissed, then I think that this Super League will become a massive white elephant tbh, and the PL will be able to hold its own in terms of entertainment and TV contracts.

Ultimately I don’t think the prem will have the balls to kick out these 6 clubs or deduct points from them. Plus they will lose money from sponsorship and tv deals as a result of it because those sides bring in the most money.

Someone said they have the power to force the owners to sell the team so I think they will go down that route and get rid of the owners. The only issue is if the owners refuse to sell the club then I guess they have to punish the club.
The problem is they lose money forever if they don't kick them out. If they kick them out they can rebuild. If they don't the money is permanently gone.

PL rules state that no club can take part in a competition they don't recognise while taking part in it. The fact the club's have resigned from governing bodies, and that FIFA, the FA, UEFA etc are all in support of not recognising it means something will be done.

What it will be...I don't know.

It's a threat to their product too

The SPL had the stones to get rid of Rangers, let’s hope the PL can do the same.

Even if they don’t though, something has now been broken. I’m not watching a PL that exists where 6 teams have transfer budgets of half a billion a season and the rest struggle to put 10 mill together. It’s now forever become ‘them’ and everyone else now. It can’t go back to what it was. One group has to wither and die and hopefully it’s that lot.

Way I see it is these clubs knew the fan backlash would be there but providing they got to stay in the domestic leagues that would soon wane.

This is where the domestic leagues have to show bottle and kick these teams out - not only will it help stop other clubs from wanting to leave but it will also turn a lot of local fans of said 12 clubs already joined against them.

Basically its exhibition football if they are booted out the leagues.

More than likely the cowardly PL will relegate them to the championship or league 2 and within a few years they'll be back dominating.

Agree

You have to accept that there will be a lot of short term pain. Then you move on and start to recover. And the league will recover in time. Football will go on and Everton will go on.
