It won't. The NFL gives everyone fairly equal opportunities to compete. That is not the plan here. There will be tiers within the league that is trying to make itself the top tier.

If they don't get kicked out then no other sanction will bother them. Can the Premier League afford to kick them out? Can they afford to let them stay? I think fans of most clubs would be quite excited if they left as there's more opportunities to win. If they stay then it would all seem a bit pointless and corrupt.

You'd have to imagine in special cirumstances they'd circumvent that rule given that there's literally 6 clubs in cahoots together. Expel 6 clubs needing a 3/4 majority of the rest needing 11 teams to vote on it. That's the only way it will work, don't let them keep a foothold in our league when they clearly have no intention of upholding it's integrity.

It takes 14 clubs to vote in a rule change in the Premier league. So therefore the 14 non 'big 6' teams need to pass a vote to relegate or kick out any team who participates in a tournament which is not in the interest of fair competition and will jeopardise the integrity of the league. This is what needs to be done and this would give them no leg to stand on.

The likes of Mike Ashley and Gold & Sullivan worry me here.

Easy way round that would be to vote on all 6 clubs in one go. Teams can't vote on their own expulsion (or at least I assume that's how it works). So you'd need 75% of 14 clubs to vote them out.

Even if it's not quite legally sound, they need to show creativity to get rid of the rot before it destroys football completely.

TSL will basically become like a gloried MLS where 'superstars' go for one last pay day before retiring.

Even MLS doesn’t do this that much anymore. They’ve moved on to mining the Central and South American leagues for up and coming talent.

It’s more like the old North American Soccer League, which threw huge wads of cash at aging pros in the mid-70s (think Beckenbauer and Pele on the New York Cosmos) and had a few nice years of attention. Then suddenly the money wasn’t there anymore and the league collapsed.

We should have been ready for this travesty to football on the back of project big power grab, but I thought that shiteshow and fallout would put the two horrible yank red clubs back in their boxes. I was sadly very wrong, and it seems they've roped in some other greedy, abhorrent friends from other countries to help them try to destroy the game I love.

I only hope they destroy themselves with this cynical, despicable sham of a league, where results will have no consequence as there isn't promotion or relegation, and you can only gain entry if you've been a good little club and these "super" clubs decide to let you in?

They might as well split the match into quarters, make a goal worth 7, give a pen after a goal and make the goals 60 ft across, as what they are proposing is equally as stupid.

I'm bored off me tits by the idea already, as I'm sure most true football fans are - it's everything that football isn't!

Please uefa, FIFA, pl, la Liga, seria a - do the right thing and volley them into oblivion and let them set up their borefest - football started without them in this country, they won't end it and they won't be missed.

Dont think it will happen. Just postering for more money. Soccer has been pretty dead for a while now with too much money ruining it. Can see more people following lower league teams instead. Which in effect what we would be if it did happen. The compromise will mean they grt more of a slice of the pie and get to own more rights to stream games maybe. Whatever happens they wont rest till they get more.

Correct.

It also states that it’s mandatory to compete in the FA Cup but not the League cup, so I guess that’s where they’ll be fitting in fixtures.

seen a few stories that Man City snd Chelsea were effectively forced to sign in, and I imagine Bayern May be similar based in the sense that they don’t want to fall behind.
