Champions League revamp

It takes 14 clubs to vote in a rule change in the Premier league. So therefore the 14 non 'big 6' teams need to pass a vote to relegate or kick out any team who participates in a tournament which is not in the interest of fair competition and will jeopardise the integrity of the league. This is what needs to be done and this would give them no leg to stand on.

15 clubs(not less than three quarters) so would take one of the six voting against themselves, They already have it good, yet want waaaay more, scummy.

The MOST interesting thing is if it is carried through and they are banned from the PL for a season, and then have to enter again at the 5th level, the National League, how many of the stars of the RS, ManUre, Chelski, Citeh, Arsenule and the Lilywhites will demand to bale out immediately? Probably all of them. Resulting in those 6 having to have players that would be some leagues below Premier League level.

Oh, bring it on!!!
I'm not sure I understand. Their place in the English football pyramid has just become totally irrelevant. They'll play second string sides in the Premier League, assuming they're allowed to stay in it.

This league doesn’t happen if they’re booted out of their domestic leagues.

UEFA and the FA of each country must hold strong on this.

No one is tuning in to watch a bore fest between Spurs and Porto with no threat of relegation.
It won't take long for Spurs and Porto, using their new found riches, to poach the remaining best players from around the world. Give it two years and you'll have Porto players on 500k a week.

I don't want them kicked out. I want them embarrassed in their own league. Caps, embargoes, deductions.... literally anything so they become a less of a force domestically.

Who wouldn't like to see the RS fight their way out of a 12 point deduction?

12 points? They'd be in the top half after 10 games of the new season.

A 12 division deduction would be better.

fair point - but can you see Gareth Southgate leaving out his entire back four, Kane, Mount, Foden, Henderson, Sterling etc when his job depends on it.

Perhaps it could be an FA directive I suppose
Tom davies to score winning goal in final ,you heard it here first.:p

Problem is the “big 6” generate the majority of the cash for the Premier League from overseas TV rights. The Premier League would de-value themselves massively if they boot them out. And every other club left would take a massive hit which they might not be able to recover from.

Don’t we already nearly spend around 80% of our turnover?

Given the mega money funding this move they must surely have assessed all the likely reactions and be confident that they have the chess moves ready to play in response.
The owners dont care.

They see just the money, they don't care about the fans, their clubs history, whether their players want it, their managers, nothing matters other than filling their pockets.

Spurs won't have any ambition beyond being paid, they won't actually want to compete, that would mean spending money. Same as Arsenal, their owner won't be funding any super league challenge. They'll be safe from being relegated and hoovering up the money for just being there.

Yes, so what?

Thats what they want, they want us to beg, I would honestly rather have David Nugent up top than bow to them.
