Champions League revamp

They simply can't be allowed to stay in it. There would be no integrity in the competition at all. The 6 want their money from both the PL and the super league, the gap to the rest of us would become infinitely wider. The champions league would be irrelevant in comparison to the super league, if it even continues at all. UEFA and the FA/PL cannot stand for it. I dont see how the players can either, the gems of these clubs, rashfords, kanes etc. How can they want to be a part of this knowing what it represents?

I think this is pretty much the end of the Premier League tbh. They can save face and kick the six out, which will just be hurting themselves, or they can let them stay and make a mockery of the whole thing. The UCL is just the new Europa now too, isn't it?

Can imagine if Bayern and Leipzig do join, the rest of the teams would take pleasure in kicking them out as Leipzig are hated and Bayern arnt too far behind. Plus as its only 2 teams, wouldnt affect the league much - Probably make that league better

I'd rather us compete in a fair tinpot league with no money than a "super" league that has no integrity. Kick them out, I don't care how much money it'll take out of our league. The only way the Premier League survives is to take a stand now, if these 6 are allowed to get away with this the league will collapse within decades, if not a few years.

This type of thing makes me feel better, but the bit about written approval means my fears are not completely allayed. Rules / legislation can be changed, amended etc.

We will see what tomorrow brings. That Chelsea Supporters Trust seem confident that it won’t even go ahead. I’d rather that it did go ahead, if it means they are kicked out!

A pic of the trophy would be nice.

Hope it’s proper massive.

Problem is the “big 6” generate the majority of the cash for the Premier League from overseas TV rights. The Premier League would de-value themselves massively if they boot them out. And every other club left would take a massive hit which they might not be able to recover from.

Don’t we already nearly spend around 80% of our turnover?
Partly, but a big part of it is the big-name players. If these players are threatened with not playing in a World Cup, or European Champions League, will they want to stay with these clubs? I don’t think many of them will.

Indeed, this aint going away for MONTHS.

Prem should come out tomorrow and say listen, the six aren't finishing the season in the Prem and dish out the points.

Say they're considering expulsion and then kick them out in a few weeks if they still want to move ahead with this Super League. Could go back to 22/24 teams in the league, maybe even invite Celtic/Sevco/someone from Wales and call it the British Super League. Poke fun it at all, yenno.

But deffo relegate the Crimson and strip them of their trophies

I still think it won’t happen, especially given that Juve statement basically saying it mightn’t. These clubs will pull Uefa’s pants down.

What statement mate?

I thought as much myself but bluffing is one thing but haven't they literally just withdrawn from UEFA?

It's definitely a strange one. What even is the Premier League now in relation to the ESL? Will the best players from clubs like Villa, Leicetser etc look for moves to the ESL? Given they're basically pulling the ladder up behind them, the gap will be even bigger than it is between the teams that generally qualify for the current UCL and those that don't.
