Going on about how the $4-billion they have secured being put at risk, allegedly. I honestly don’t see how they have a leg to stand on if they are breaking the rules of the competitions they are already part of. It seem they are now starting to panic about the possible ramifications.

Legally I dont think they can stop them playing in it, if I was the premier league I would schedule their league games when they are due to play in Europe.

I'd assume so? You need to be a member of the FA to play in the league - I'd assume the memberships be revoked.

Yep. And for fans there is something huge about winning the domestic league, just look at Liverpool fans, they were European champions, but, I would say it meant more to them to finally become league champions again. The threat on their league status could be too much for many of them.

If they backtrack, they will have no more authority because certain clubs can make their own rules.

Part of me was warmed when fifa and uefa sounded so furious at this. Then I realised that its fifa and uefa - amoral and corrupt to the core - so they will be only be furious until they get a slice of cash and power.

The best solution is that anybody against this simply boycott the clubs involved, on TV and at the ground. There's no mileage in a RS fan banging on about how they're against it and then turning up at a turnstile.

Things they might do. FIFA - any players playing in the SL will be banned from playing their national teams. The FA - points deduction and euro competition ban until they give in?

It’s possible. These clubs will have war gamed the various scenarios within which UEFA and the various leagues might respond. They will have writs, injunctions etc ready in different countries legal formats and languages for each and will have literally armies of top lawyers ready to go into battle.
This has been planned to death in secret for months. Quite impressive in a manipulative and cut throat way. The authorities either go to battle with them but will need to incur the cost for this or they roll over and basically cede the champions league to them as a compromise. Can see the latter happening personally.

If UEFA and FIFA do ban players from playing for there country it will kill the SL.English players don’t care much about playing for there country but other country do.
