Champions League revamp

It’s possible. These clubs will have war gamed the various scenarios within which UEFA and the various leagues might respond. They will have writs, injunctions etc ready in different countries legal formats and languages for each and will have literally armies of top lawyers ready to go into battle.
This has been planned to death in secret for months. Quite impressive in a manipulative and cut throat way. The authorities either go to battle with them but will need to incur the cost for this or they roll over and basically cede the champions league to them as a compromise. Can see the latter happening personally.
I can’t see that happening, the champions league is just too much of a money maker, UEFA are furious with these clubs as they have been involved in the deciding on the forthcoming changes made to the current competition. If they lose this what else will happen? I think they know they need to make a stand otherwise they lose their power. Let’s hope so.

If UEFA and FIFA do ban players from playing for there country it will kill the SL.English players don’t care much about playing for there country but other country do.
These authorities have to act together otherwise they will possibly dissolve themselves because they are no longer making football competition rules and the power is gone.

That is the same sort of weaponised lawyering that Trump tried, and it will come up against the same problems (that what they are doing is clearly going to damage everyone else and the law they will be arguing clearly doesn’t say what they need it to say).

The reality is that they know the various FAs have the ability to kick them out of existing comps; that’s why they have sundered the link between governing bodies and themselves, and ensured the money they’ll be making is enough for them to subsist entirely on this competition (the divvying up of the £3.5 billion initially being the key bit there).

Although I personally think it’s reached a point of no return if the climax of this results in them all just gaining more control in a reformed CL for me it’s just as bad and shows UEFA have little or no control over their organisation and will eventually lead to a Super League like competition anyway.

If UEfA and other organisations are truly against it they need to put words to actions and punish.

Such an easy reality, the clubs are nothing without the infrastructure, absolutely nothing.

12 academies do not produce the worlds talent.

If these 12 clubs manage to retain their current crop of players (which seems unlikely?) but get ousted from the world of football (they’re just companies now after all, not football clubs) - the quality of the competition drastically reduces in the future and the money disappears.

The various FA’s UEFA/FIFA should just concentrate on isolating them - excommunication is a death sentence for a minority - other clubs will take their places in time - not a bother.

FA, PL, Fifa and Uefa really need to stick with their initial statements and show these greedy owners who's in charge.

Football has felt soulless for year's and the competition has been ruined by the wealth at these clubs.

They need throwing out, these clubs are what's destroying what we love about football.

12 clubs in Europe, vs the hundreds of clubs in European football. I think we will be fine carrying on without them.
