Champions League revamp

The PL have brought this on themselves by allowing their own greed to get the better of them in the first instance.

It’s a joke.

You reap what you sow.

if there was ever a time for Rangers and Celtic to join the EPL this is surely it? Replace the outgoing 6 with; Rangers, Celtic, Norwich, Watford, Swansea and Brentford.

There is no doubt that removing 6 teams from the premier league will have a big impact money wise, but there will be a certain appeal to advertisers of adding Rangers and Celtic, not enough to cover for those 6 going but it could cushion the blow somewhat.
Sorry but they're not wanted down here thanks.

To a degree that's true, but they didn't abolish promotion and relegation. EFL Clubs can get into the Premier League on merit and Premier League clubs can be relegated on merit, it's not a closed shop like this new league.

Fan of Super League idea here.

Kinda boring to watch Sevilla, Porto and similar crap clubs in CL, when you know their limit is QF, SF if a miracle occurs. You know they're there just to participate and get a few extra mil to the budget, they're not there for actual competition.

When was the last time Arsenal, Spurs, AC Milan got to a CL quarters or semi? Or when they actually played good "quality" football?

I've been a bit slow on this and haven't delved in too much.

So, based on my half arsed understanding...

Several clubs are permanent members. Others qualify? I assume this is based on league standing? So does that mean the champions league places become available for lower placed clubs? Or, it really isn't a champions league is it, by that definition!

The finances look interesting. Loans? Repayable based on success of the format. Ohhhh, seeing it tank could be fun.

Also, does this mean the champions league and Europa league are less lucrative?

This looks a lot like FIBA vs Euroleague clash at basketball competitions. I know it didn't end well for either parties. And crushed the soul of the game.

Football is dead, thanks to greed.

We’ll be like Celtic in the SPL without Rangers.

Their attendances fell and the football intensity and quality fell off.
Totally incorrect. There will still be very good teams to compete against in the EPL. We would also have elite competition in Europe. I don't get your doomsday scenario.
In fact , the real doomsday scenario is if the EPL and UEFA bend over to accomodate the greedy scum.
