Deafening silence so far from the epl clubs. Would have hoped they would have had a joint statement out this morning putting pressure on the PL/FA.

I would say they're all preparing a joint statement at the moment. More impactful if they all do it together in solidarity and again puts the emphasis firmly on the greed of those other 6.

I'd go as far to say tonight's match should also be postponed. Liverpool who were chasing top 4 no longer have anything to play for knowing they'll not even play in the competition should they qualify. It's made a mockery of the league. Has to be postponed/forfeited.

And Leeds could be playing for a uefa competition, they just don't know either way! Definitely unfair to play it tonight as nobody knows whats happening

Fan of Super League idea here.

Kinda boring to watch Sevilla, Porto and similar crap clubs in CL, when you know their limit is QF, SF if a miracle occurs. You know they're there just to participate and get a few extra mil to the budget, they're not there for actual competition.

The limit of Porto, who won the premier European competition more recently than Man City, Spurs, Athletico Madrid, Juve & Arsenal.

That limit, yeah?

they got the money to get less crap. others don't.

on the other hand, i've no idea why both arse&tott'ham are invited. clubs that never won a thing, always been irrelevant when it comes to europe, and will stay like that. missed opportunity there to make super league a serious tourney tbh.

I’m done with football... it’s a disgrace and has been for quite a while.

Everton (thank god) still have the right values and are a beacon of light amidst all the greed and self centred behaviour on display from other clubs. Long may that continue.

I sincerely hope that the 2nd paragraph of your post is correct.

I wonder what our response would have been if we were invited in.

I suspect that Mr Moshiri and Usmanov would have jumped at the chance.

Until we get a statement of condemnation of this charade from the Everton hierarchy we won't know.

As much as I'm not a huge fan of the man, Simon Jordan is adamant this is all just bargaining and brinkmanship and a deal will be reached between clubs and UEFA.

He's usually right on this sort of thing, and I tend to agree.

if there was ever a time for Rangers and Celtic to join the EPL this is surely it? Replace the outgoing 6 with; Rangers, Celtic, Norwich, Watford, Swansea and Brentford.

There is no doubt that removing 6 teams from the premier league will have a big impact money wise, but there will be a certain appeal to advertisers of adding Rangers and Celtic, not enough to cover for those 6 going but it could cushion the blow somewhat.

Mate, this is exactly the same as the clubs going in the ESL - creating what they want. Any club coming into and/or staying there should do so by earning it. Me personally, I do not want to see Rangers or Celtic in the English football system and if they ever did, they should start of at the very bottom, so it wont happen.

LOL at Sky if they continue to use the term 'big 6' and exclusively use the badges/images of those clubs as part of their Premier League marketing.

It makes me cringe every time I see a 'Premier League' piece on Sky Sports which is a line up of the 'big 6' managers stood next to each other with their arms folded.

They're as much to blame for this as anyone.

As in all walks of life, they've believed the hype. And we know what happens to the boxer who thinks he's invincible, or the pop star who thinks their fans will buy any old rubbish and stops writing good songs. No club is bigger than the game, and this plan is deeply flawed.
