No relegation this season is the key to getting all 14 clubs onside if it comes to ejecting the six.Yeah I just assumed we wouldnt relegate anybody, thus still have 14 teams and needing only 6 new 1s.

You expected him to say, live on TV, without conferring with the other Chairmen, that the scab 6 will be kicked out? Really?
Yes it was split 92 ways.Has the wealth ever been fairly distributed tho?
Completely agree - the haircut will be significant, but obviously way more without the 6 and I think that is the reality every which way you look at it. Revenue (Short term) will supersede everything for the 14, possibly with the exception of us and LCFC; who might argue the bigger picture
Re Parrish - Yes, I watched it, I thought he really let the 14 down essentially admitting they need the 6. Even if it's just a bluff, keep your council for the moment.
Its a good idea but I can see the Championship teams having a problem with that
I agree it probably is, be interesting to see if the Championship teams do object if that’s how they do it. I never really thought about it but this is going to have an impact on every league, even if you take 6 you’re going to have to promote the same from the leagues below etc etcIts a better solution than promoting 9 Championship sides, IMO.
Well, if it was me, I wouldnt have relegation, promote the top 2 and the 4 teams in the playoffs.
Not sure what you mean by haircut mate (not having a go just not sure how to respond!). I mean maybe it will. It's one of those situations where it's difficult to pre-empt. I have to say, with the pressure from the government, the opposition, the FA, the language of UEFA and fans groups, it's going to be very hard to have them playing in the league next season. Borderline dangerous. Thats before you see the business case. And in fairness, the short short term there is no difference anyway, as the contract still has 18 months to run.
Re Parrish, funny I didn't really felt he said that or got it across. I thought he was very diplomatic, and was essentially giving some platitudes. Again it wouldn't be how I would do it, but I know from a PR perspective, you will say the right things before a big meeting where invariably you will then come out with something quite radical. Whereas if you pre-empt it, the narrative is built overnight to the "nasty 14" as Carragher ridiculously tried to bring in. It seemed like a statement of a man who wanted to appear reasonable.
I mean we will see. He certainly offered the 6 teams a way out, but also made it quite clear that if it's not taken they can and would seek to kick them out.
THey will turn up every week and play a second string of players cos the bigger money is in winning the ESL. They also will not need to qualify for anything. It is totally un-tenable.
