You can do away days in Europe for cheap enough of you're happy to have basic hotels and random flights.

But 3 or 4 a year is a lot different than 9 or 10 trips. Only very well off people could afford that and even if you can afford it, then how do you get all the time off work!

I think UEFA will likely come down hard on them, unless they backtrack and use it as a way to give them less money in future. Sadly can’t see the FA etc. doing diddly. They’re terrified of losing these clubs.

Our club needs the money still, or at least sees value in not driving customers away. At least I hope they do.

I suspect they value us more, yes, but it would be naive to think they truly value us, IMO.

Carragher having a shocker....trying to create a narrative with Klopp, than even klopp isn't showing any signs of...klopp doesn't seem to fussed by this, certainly not enough to resign, or be heavily critical of....he was far more annoyed with Neville's comments, the tshirts, and his own Liverpool fans protesting by removing banners at Anfield

I genuinely believe, having listened to Carragher there, that if there wasn’t an uproar, that Carragher would be fully behind this.

It’s a nasty fallback that kopites and particularly Carragher do a lot. As soon as there’s anything negative that involves Liverpool as a club they immediately start bringing out phrases like ‘people of Liverpool, Everton fans Liverpool fans aren’t like this’ they did it when they smashed the City bus up, whenever they get in trouble in Europe, when they furloughed their staff, constant references to Everton so they can try and hide behind our whiter than white reputation as a force for good in the community and hope some of the mud sticks on us. If it’s really bad they throw in an unrelated reference to Hillsborough as well.

It’s got nothing to do with us whatsoever yet we were mentioned more than some of the other 6 clubs by Carragher.

Their agruement is competitiveness and the opportunity for any team to compete which this doesn't and won't.

The British government and Boris Johnson have to act here. The Premier League is a lucrative part of the British economy and contributes hugely to the economy, a significant player of the economy. If something like this is allowed to happen, the Premier League will go kaput and the power of European football will lie at the hands of these greedy American owners, who pretty much allowed this to happen. The British definitely don't want to lose their monopoly on having a top quality league.
