Even tonight...although 6 clubs are involved....Sky have made this all about Liverpool and United....and they wonder why the Premier league will suffer without these 2 clubs who they've relentlessly put up on a pedestal now for 29 years....

Prehaps had they not catered to these 2 non stop, their exit would barely be a ripple now, and the league could carry on as an exciting interesting league

Everton were mentioned more times than Chelsea Arsenal City Spurs with spitty dragging us in every chance he got.

Because the other teams involved have no real history. lol lol

100%. That idiot Tim Shipman is basically what they want - supporters who pay their TV money, get the shirt and the mouse-mat, interact with the club digitally and occasionally turn up to take in the atmosphere of a real game (and buy more stuff).

The regulars, season ticket holders, people who've been attending for decades with families and friends are not what they are looking to get or keep - most of them just contribute ticket money rather than buying things (and not as much ticket money as occasional visitors do), they don't generate "atmosphere" either most of them and of course they are going to be the people who provide the greatest amount of resistance to these changes (rising ticket prices, more corporate influence, eventually franchise moves).
Spot on mate.

Ive been going to Goodison for a long, long time, my kids have grown up and sadly even I have grown up, so I don't buy kits anymore, well, I will for my Grandson, but anyway, all I do most Seasons is buy 2 Season Tickets. What use am I to the club? They could replace me with 19 people who would take my place and each spend easily 200 quid a trip.

I said yesterday, this could go on for months and months.

There is a slight deadline tho, with CL games looming.

Yes I can see UEFA making very quick decisions because they have no real alternatives. They might feel they have to expel teams from this year's competition because this is a direct attack on them and their competitons.

Domestically this will run and run. There won't be any expulsions unless it's a very last resort and thats way down the line.

They have brought the game into enormous disrepute though so there must be consequences tomorrow to make a statement. What happens after that then I have no idea but I expect it to run a long time.

I honestly dont know what point your trying to make mate.

Fans all over Europe travel all over Europe for CL and EL games every season.

Point being, there aren't nearly as many of those now.

I think that the broader point being missed is that the revenue pie for the biggest clubs is disproportionately merch and sponsorship already. If alienating the true faithful gets them more of those things and TV money, that's a larger number than the gate.

Best analogy I can come up with is the Catholic Church, which financed St. Peter's by selling indulgences. That led to a guy nailing his gripes to the door of a church, which ended in quite the bloody revolution.

I have sympathy with anyone trying to speak about this live on TV to be honest. It's pure politics. The President needs to step in somewhere and give a heartfelt speech to make everyone feel better.

You know what I think Carragher might be right. One of the teams will flip flop. I think It will be City.

Haven't they already signed a 23 yr contract for the super league? Shiekh Mansour oversee's human rights question marks in the UAE I doubt he's arsed about what Gary Neville thinks likewise Abramovich.

Only way it potentially falters is if Barca dont go ahead with it.

Listening to Neville and Carragher here and there's a lot of rowing back - I get the impression that if promotion and relegation was allowed for the scab league they'd back down.

Which wouldn't happen cos the yanks don't like that system.

Their agruement is competitiveness and the opportunity for any team to compete which this doesn't and won't.
