Champions League revamp

IF a vote is required to remove or add a team to the league it would require a 15 team approval, which now cant / wont happen (unless it's a masterstroke from city)

I think the bigger question is if there is an "automatic trigger" under rule 9, which means there is no need for a vote here

I mentioned that before. Due to the circumstances, it's a case of possible rule breaking which the PL would dictate a form of punishment. Wouldn't be a vote but a possible agreement that the punishment was fair.

Another Premier League rule that they would be breaking.

I.7.

No Club shall enter into a contract which enables any other party to that contract to acquire the ability materially to influence its policies or the performance of its teams in League Matches, any matches in the Professional Development Phase Games Programme or the Professional Development Leagues (as those terms are defined in the Youth Development Rules) or in any of the competitions set out in Rule L.9

By definition taking part in another competition that isn't listed in Rule L.9 (which they break) also breaks this rule as the performance of the teams in League Matches would be effected.

Don't think any of them are bothered about repercussions tbh. These owners may be parasitic scumbags of the highest order but they know what they are doing when it comes to money and would not have even set this in motion if they hadn't looked at all potential outcomes. They are set to make guaranteed extortionate amounts of money for many years to come with zero risk. The premier league and domestic cups are small change to them. This is nothing short of a complete take over of all of these clubs involved by the money men and bankers.

Very bumpy days ahead but hopefully the outcome will be a much fairer and balanced football league where all clubs actually have a chance of winning something instead of one of the same 6 for several decades.
